Not for the review of this game, but for the obvious attention and site hits they are trying to get with these reviews. These guys are pathetic.
3/10? Come on. I know this might be one person's opinion, but if someone doesn't like that type of game in the first place, why would you let them review it so that the masses can account any credibility to their opinion?
I just want to make sure that we can race each other on the track at the same time. From what I remember, that wasn't readily available for the Japanese release.
Has anyone deciphered the real online modes for this game? I got an email from Sony and it says:
"Online racing fans can join in on a new set of scheduled events and time trials."
What the hell does scheduled events mean? Are we going to actually be able to race each other? If we can't it's going to break my heart.
That's one element of the game I would love to have back. It was my first PS2 game and is still one of the 5 PS2 games I still own. It's even on a blue disc. Strange.
There's about 20 million 360's out there (estimation).
There's about 11 million PS3's out there (estimation).
I predict GTAIV will sell 31 million copies by the end April.
That's pure speculation, but seriously, who isn't getting this game?
Please stop pulling the "high and mighty I'm too good for this website" card. We all love games or else none of us would be here, so stop acting like it's something personal.
People here can say what they want, as long as it's not in an offensive manner. I'm just surprised how some people take personal offense to stuff like this. Seriously, what did you guys expect to be said in this section? And why does it bother you guys so much?
I'm just sick of th...
"You do realise that a new 360 were to come out in 3 years time the ps3 games would begin to look a bit shabby in comparison."
I agree that any console released after this gen will obviously make even today's games pale in comparison. But a big factor here is production time. It's already starting to take developer's YEARS to come out with the final product for today's games. Every single generation of consoles has seemingly extended production time for games due to t...
But it's hard to enjoy a console with great games when you can't get the console to last more than four days before you get the RROD (my 360).
"I can't comment on failure rates, because it's just not something - it's a moving target. What this consumer should worry about is the way that we've treated him. Y'know, things break, and if we've treated him well and fixed his problem, that's something that we're focused on right now. I'm not going to comment on individual failure rates because I'm shipping in 36 countries and it's a complex business," responded Peter Moore.
Sony altogether sold almost 900,000 consoles in the month of February alone. Nintendo sold over 1,000,000. Microsoft sold what? 250,000?
Microsoft is all about showing the charts and graphs in their favor during their conventions, but you can't spin information like this.
I'm getting almost 2.15 million consoles sold altogether rather than the 1.799,000 on the list.
Even crazier is the fact that Sony and Nintendo combined make up over 1,800,000 of those sales. Microsoft might be proud of their 360, but they are getting owned overall in console sales.
870,000 consoles altogether in one month. And to think Nintendo actually sold over 1,000,000 consoles in one month.
That's INSANE, especially for........March?
EDIT-Check my math here guys. I'm getting a total of almost 2.15 million consoles sold altogether. What's crazy is Sony and Nintendo can account for almost ALL of that.
That's the best idea I've heard in a long time.
That's a pretty short list.
And in all honesty, I don't think Criterion benefited that much from their buyout. Criterion has always made good games.
Other than support for Canon printers. Yay.
I haven't found out what it does yet because I'm installing it right now.
This long and it's only 2.17?
EDIT-Whatever change it is, it seems pretty insignificant. I can't find any changes.
Instead of adding measly crap for and calling it collector's edition for $10 more, games should be released as a collector's edition for a much higher price. But in exchange for the much higher price, more meaningful swag.
Somewhere along the line someone started to believe gamers cared in the frivolous crap posters, pamphlets with "artwork," lockboxes, and miniature figurines. That is not what real fans of a game want and thought those things packaged in with a game c...
Anyway, I can't wait to play the beta. I've had my preorder in for a while and this will keep me occupied for about a week.
I just hope they realise though that on April 29 their servers will be empty. Once I've got GTAIV in my house I'll completely forget about this.
