the ps3 wont need to go future proof with their next system because they have already incorporated the bluray into their system and it will be super cheap by then, i am pretty sure bluray will last as long as dvd so the ps4 will most definitely have bluray. so the only thing they will need to add would be to upgrade the cell/ram/gpu and stuff and the extras like BC and stuff and then they are good. IMO though since im not an expert in any of these fields.

All the games you mentioned are excellent choices, I picked up Ratchet & Clank: Tools of Destruction on ebay for 29.99. It is on Amazon for around 33ish. I've only heard great things about it so for that price I say go for it, although I can't say personally since it hasn't arrived yet. If you like shooters Socom or R2. R2 is more like Halo, run and gun. Socom is slower and more realistic.
