I always try to manage my expectations when it comes to Vikings.
It's just common sense.
I should have held on to my Odin Sphere PS2 copy.
Ah, regret.
One of those cases where it really just had the terrible luck of coming out in the same timeframe as a better game.
Womp womp.
;)
Any time.
I can attest with my own wife that 3.0 is great for multiplayer. The story-based playsets, especially.
However, just dropping a few people in the toybox and screwing around with building things is a great time-sink.
Well, not everyone wants a challenging game. It's that simple. There are plenty of options for games with a challenge curve, but very few on console that cater to people that just want to sit down and play a game.
Just because it's a game doesn't mean it needs to have a built-in barrier of resistance.
I really like the LEGO games for that very reason. I would have had Jurassic World on my list, but I actually reviewed it for The Blade earlier in the year. :)
I'm looking forward to reviewing LEGO Dimensions.
The Tweet in question, for anyone wondering:

(1/2) Hey all, the SFV closed beta test is entering a period of extended maintenance in order to fix issues preventing the beta from loading
I think that is a bit of an exaggerated response.
First, you have to remember that this was a worldwide server test designed purely for stress testing. I have no idea on the inner workings of how Capcom's dev. team handles things, but I am guessing that this is the earliest version of their servers and firmware.
Considering they are starting from the ground up, it isn't shocking that 10,000 users could put it down.
Once again, this...
I look forward to see where the developer is going with it. The minds behind it definitely understand fighting games, it's just going to be a matter of making the game appeal to very certain audiences.
Also: Giant Robots.
That was on my mind when I wrote the headline. :)
What? All he did was mention his favorite wrestler, [STEVIE RICHARDS].
Nothing to see here.
I know I just fell for a clickbaity headline meant to generate people complaining, but, here I am, entertain us.
I love the Batmobile stuff. OH GOD SUBJECTIVITY AND OBJECTIVITY WHAT DO THEY MEAN?
I would wholeheartedly recommend trying the tutorial and some matches against the AI if you're on the fence, but like what you see.
A year ago, I was very much anti-MOBA. This game has won me over by doing everything correctly that the rest of the genre has taken for granted.
Thanks for reading!
I agree completely. The next closest competition for me would be the updates to Don't Starve and Invisible Inc.
Everyone should play Shovel Knight. I demand that it be mandatory!
localish is my favorite kind of ish.
I'm looking forward to seeing Predator's playstyle. Jason is just about perfect.
Don't lose hope! When all else fails, turn to YouTube for help. Some great videos out there for help with such things. =)
The narrative switch halfway through the game is one of my favorite things from gaming in recent years. The bait and switch from "LOL KILL WEREWOLVES" to "Oh, look: C'Thulu and his friends" is such a great shift in tone.
Easily From's best effort to date, and I say that as someone who thinks Dark Souls was the best game of the last generation of consoles.
