its not the same thing pokemon is extremely big its the second biggest game franchise just behind mario even if your comparing mertoid and zelda to mario they are still big franchises to rely on
nintendo has MANY franchises that they can rely on to make them money like ive said already

they all have multiple franchises which can produce high numbers
but unlike everyone else konami really only has MGS...

mario is big and is gonna sell regardless of what it is but nintendo also has metroid, pokemon, zelda etc etc the catalog of franchises they can rely on is very big
