Yet no one seems to be up in arms over say the NX which expected to be out what 4 years after the last console and is a whole new console it's games WONT play on the wii u.... The fact is the ps4 isn't defunct games should run just as they do now on them- if that's not the case then frankly it's the developers fault I mean lets not give them excuses here half the games released need patching after launch anyway to optimise and fix issues lets not give them a ready made excuse ...
No they aren't? They come in at the same price as the previous model and the ps4.5 is meant to be more expensive than the current model.... Also phones only have major changes every 3-4 years if you are lucky....
because it's inconceivable that someone might well be intelligent enough and have enough understanding of hardware and software development to be able to say it's not as much work as some are making out and that several developers have in the past bragged about how easily they can do it with their engines designed with that in mind.... engines that are still in use... It might mean more work for some but as the hardware is basically the same - 8 core cpu the faster clockspeed should a...
Some have built it into their development engines. Ubisoft said as much the other day, End of the day it's their job to make sure the games run properly on release; if they don't-you've bought the product the one to blame isn't the hardware manufacturer that released a better iteration of the hardware. If a dev doesn't bother to optimise for both properly then that's the dev's fault and it's illogical to blame the hardware manufacturer for that- most games rele...
Exceeding Neo is irrelevant because both the xbox one and ps4 base models must be the baseline for all games. So as for better graphics the increase in processing power required is exponential so to have it be more powerful than neo they'd have to have a higher pricepoint I suspect and as all it'll be doing is graphical improvements and such thats all.
*correction* the game-play IS identical to the cutscenes.
I want to know about the coop stuff and I'm hoping the survival mode the second game had returns
This would explain ALOT...
The whistle-blower was scarier than the main game I found... Especially bit where you are stuck limping...
"each iteration" now I support the idea of PS neo but I draw the line at them releasing loads of equivalent upgrades.... no the next one has to be a slim of the neo and then the ps5. Nothing more otherwise I'm out... Gotta draw the line somewhere.... That would be pushing it too far.
@rainslacker they wont use higher level api's- not if you are just creating two presets and optimising both, the amount of work is really not as large as some people are making out. Plus wtf is that to the average consumer? Are you making the game???! or are you just buying the damn thing and PAYING them for it?
they aren't ps5, if they are then the ps5 is going to absolutely suck.... and I love playstation but considering ps5 is likely 3/4/5 years out..... those specs would be shit even for basic planning. No the ps4.5 is probably happening but what does it mater ll games will be expected to run aswell as they currently do on the current hardware.... No one has to upgrade if they don't want to.
scaling games is easy, most engines have it built into the developer tools (see ubisoft bragging about it and how easy it was on several occasions) so what your effectively aying is because you don't have the disposable income to afford the ps4 upgrade.... no one should get the choice? and we should all have to wait till ps5? Great logic there. I'm a bloody student that has no money most of the time and I miss out on some things and avoid others to afford specific games and likely wil...
When the ps5.5 is 3/4 years down the line.... plenty will pickup a ps5- all the people that upgrade which will likely be alot of the day one ps4 adopters because they like to have tech first and as such are willing to pay slightly more. Most late adopters are waiting for a price drop likely they will pickup the base ps4 model when it inevitably drops in price and they'll still be able to play all the gameplay content in every game....
guess it depends how much motion sickness effects you rainslacker? Because I'm willing to bet that frame rate tears alot more and graphics are considerably lower on the current ps4 than on the neo as far as VR goes because every game has to hit 60fps to be upscaled to 120fps to prevent motion sickness. Otherwise there's a tiny delay between balance in your ear's sense of movement and what you are seeing- you can't consciously tell but subconsciously for whatever reason this ca...
Games will have the same gameplay content but the new console will be capable of better graphics and frame rate. If that really bothered most users they'd shell out loads for a gaming PC. If you don't upgrade until PS5 (lets be honest we all know in 3/4 years time it will arrive...) which is likely to be backwards compatible with ps4 games due to the x86 architecture I can't see them dropping guess what? All your ps4 games with their Neo mode you may not have even used- will be ab...
it's kinda annoing that they have discs and stuff they shouldn't have delayed it.... should've just had a shortage of discs instore and told people to download it or wait a week...
Yeah I ordered from them too, usually recieve stuff really early from them unless the publiser acts to stop it (fallout 4, starwars battlefront) but thanks to the bank holiday I got mgs5 5 days early :D as this is clearly manufactured I'm hoping to have it by the saturday before the tuesday release date :p we shall see though.
Author is a complete idiot imo. The logic he's using doesn't even make sense basically "because someone paid for something a few months ago I am entitled to have no improved versions release" and "previous generations worked one particular way so this generation should too". Makes no sense apart from anything developers making two 'versions' really isn't all that hard. Pc'a usually have many versions most engines are developed with sliders to adjus...
Yeah but I'd like to believe.... ;)
