It would be great to play a SOCOM game again. Not a COD wannabe that says SOCOM on the box like SOCOM 4.

The blame lands on many shoulders. If they wanted a COD wannabe game they should have made a new IP. SOCOM had an established fanbase and gameplay style to it. It didn't need to be ruined.
you got it man. I sure do miss the real SOCOM games though. I can't believe what they have turned the series into.
they've got a long ways to go with the title....but I do love the game. The graphical pop in, the bare bone fast travel system, and ONE SAVE FILE are pretty annoying among a few other things. The gameplay is good enough to make you look past these and enjoy it though. I love the combat! If Dragon's Dogma 2 can fix some of the no brainer things that shouldn't even be in this game like the things I mentioned we are really going to have something.
Had all the SOCOM fans buy it so they could get the hardrive for the DLC maps and never even played it.

@ dead eye. its not opinion it is fact. go search "sony closes Zipper interactive" it didnt happen because they were making great games.
i've learned this site is nothing but kiss asses and fanboys so I usually don't even comment anymore. I read the news and leave. Although your comment will be "disagreed" into oblivion it is 100% fact. Its also the reason ZIPPER GOT CLOSED DOWN. I'm sure the lower level workers aren't really to blame, but there is no denying their games and how bad they were and what they did to SOCOM. What a joke. Glad Zipper is gone.
6/10? its a damn good game. yes it has a few bad things wrong with it but 6/10? This should be a good read....that or just another reviewer to mark off. Lets see what the reasons are.

I didn't say MS was any better. I'm not supporting Sony anymore is all I'm saying. I wasn't trying to praise MS at all. Less of the 2 evils to me.
How they let the SOCOM series turning into a sick joke and terrible games. Getting hacked and getting all these phishing emails which lead to me having to change my email and bank accounts. Focusing on making their games casualized and for "everyone".
They are so out of touch anymore they don't know what end is up. All these fanboys can "disagree" all day cause I care lmao! but look at their stocks...look how much money they lost this year...look h...
Probably after this gen and their trash games they know everybody is switching to the competition. I've been a SONY fan all my life. I WAS the biggest SOCOM fan you could imagine. Now i can't move on fast enough. Screw SONY and all their bs. 720 here I come!
the removal of towns from FF and turning it into a hold your hand forced game kill it for me. I don't care about this announcement.
well this sucks. I was thinking cyrodill or morrowind. Going back to the arena. stuff like that I aw where they were found in the game.
I did it once and I won't do it again. I wouldn't pay even $500 for it. I'm still steamed over the SOCOM series and that whole debacle. Even $400 will have me thinking and will probably turn off what little interest I have in it.
