^ same here. i HATE racing games, but i played my bro's copy of pacific rift and was hooked. it's frickin' hard, but when you're playing with family and friends it's crazy-fun lol
no disk tray, built-in battery in the controllers(like ps3), backwards compatibility(i very badly want to play otogi and panzer dragoon =/) and... i think that's it lol oh yeah, and for it to be $250cdn at the most. no way in hell am i paying $300 for a 360~
i don't really care about the blu-ray 'cause the games won't benefit from it and i've already got a ps3 for that,
i've been waiting for so long for this redesign, but i'm not paying $300 for it. i was expecting a $200 release =/ looks like i'm either waiting a while for a price drop or a redesigned arcade system...
the regular 360's do this too. i was playing guitar hero(and my 360 was vertical) when i went to go back to my "playing spot" with the guitar on me, and when i turned the neck hit the 360 and knocked it to about 45 degrees(it hit the side of the unit iot was placed in). i heard a scraping sound and was like, "this just f*cked up my game, didn't it?". i took out the disk and low and behold, a ring was etched into the bottom of the disk. i always put my consoles hori...
if this was a public showing for random people it would have been fine. but considering that e3 is for hardcore gamers... not so fine.
sega will not be crushing anything any time soon. nintendo is already crushing them both in terms of sales. but sales don't = quality... which a lot of people don't seem to understand...
ms will most likely lose eventually. sony has the hardcore gaming market, nintendo has the casual gamers, while ms is struggling now and TRYING to take over both. which they just won't and can't do. had they invested in first-party developers to begin with, rather than timed exclusives, they would be in better shape. now they're desperately trying to cater to both markets hoping something will catch on.
that's what he gets for traitoring sony lol the sony guys were like, "oh, here... put this on, "guy you used to only make games for us but is a sell-out now. enjoy the show tomorrow =) *cough* 'bitch'". lol
on a serious note though, that's pretty bad. but hey, that's karma for ya~
europe and asia go ape for the ps3, so sony really doesn't have much to worry about in the long run. sony will still eventually catch up and surpass the 360 in sales(world-wide) whether you're willing to accept it or not.
still too expensive, imo. i was waiting since november for a 360 "slim" thinking that it'd just replace the arcade. instead, all i get is a 250gb hd for $100 more?... no thanks. $200 is the sweet spot for a 360. for ms to think that they can just hover around the ps3 slim's price point is just stupid.
yeah, you gotta use the remote, hit mute, and then you can use the hands free control after lol
wth? THAT was ms's conference? D: yeah... a $299 re-design for something that's STILL inferior to the ps3 slim AND something aimed completely at casual gamers? nice. there's no way in hell that sony is at all threatened by that showing.
this frickin' thing is ruining ms's show. it's so effing boring right now. people don't wait for e3 to watch demos for casual gamers. >=( an hour in and only 10 minutes of REAL game footage so far? nice job ms, too bad casual gamers don't know what the HELL e3 is!!!
yeah, at this point ms should be showing off a lot more than just live action video...
ms needs more first-party studios. they didn't really plan for the future like sony did, and now they're paying for it. people can make fun all they want about how sony started off slow, but they're sure making up for it now.
damn, i wanna see a mh on ps3...
wow, ms REALLY likes the "inhale" or "hourglass" effect. i was hoping it would just be a thin rectangular redesign.. i hope it's real, but i hope this isn't what it looks like...
it should still be white...
more like one of the greatest game of THIS GEN. lol
you obviously didn't see microsoft's on monday lol
