How is it a preemptive? Cal of Duty has been releasing games every year and they only went future-sci-fi in order to shake things up because they definitely are running out of steam and ideas. I highly doubt Blops 2 was to fight against Respawn. It's just another sci-fi shooter.

Exactly. This game has somewhat of an interesting story. Just that I don't and never will trust the Multiplayer ever again.
I kinda thought the PS3 was the one with more of the non-gaming department. The fact that it is now a bluray player (a cheap one in fact) makes it a very viable choice in anything other than gaming. In addition, it basically has the whole entertainment part down with the little apps and whatnot. So it perplexes me to see that this article says that XBOX appeals to non-gaming.

Yes, they are ruining it but I don't believe so with BF3. The guns included in the packs are not as great as many think. Yes, the FAMAS was the greatest gun before the patch but now, it's barely a decent gun. As far as I can tell, the guns are balanced and buying the packs won't give you an advantage. Also, B2K was free with pre-order so many people didn't even pay for it.

I play on the PS3 and I don't seem to have any problems. Is it my Sony Bravia? My sixaxis dualshock? I really don't know and I have no problems with my button pressing. I can only say that I hope DICE can fix whatever input-lag is for people.
Although I don't believe the game will last that long (at least for me), it is nice to actually have post-launch support. Unlike some games I know. (Speculate on your own)

That's a mod? Impressive but it is not a full game. It won't appeal to the masses since it really only is a PC mod. (And not everyone wants to dl a mod. They probably won't have a lot of packed servers no matter how good the game really is.)

Fascinating but I still prefer fan-subbed on my PC. I get 720p-1080p with good or acceptable quality (grain amount), choice in subbers, and good or acceptable translations. Best of all, it's free. (Also, I prefer not dubbed since the show usually loses emotion. The only time I can accept dubbed is most shows licensed by Funimation and, if lucky, a few others.)
