30 seconds is a looong time when you're hurrying to help your teammate capture an objective though.
Say you need a grenade launcher ASAP, sometimes going to the menu, fiddling around, etc. will be too late and your teammate (spawnpoint) would already be dead.
Really? I think it is. When playing a map like Op Metro, you want a CQB loadout, which is very different from a map like Caspian Border.
Heck, even on the same map, sometimes you need different equipment, different guns, scopes, etc. and you'd want that as fast as possible to spawn in -- especially now that in BF4 there are team perks.

Yep. What I meant is the 10 maps in the base game doesn't have a map akin to Op Metro, which is kinda strange since it is the most popular map even up to today. :D
Interesting to note, based on the screens, there doesn't seem to be a map close to Operation Metro, which can be a bad or good thing depending on how you like the map. :)
Glad that BF4's "Perks" are more team-oriented and objective based. So, camping in one spot won't let you get the AC130 or whatnot. ;)

Yep, agreed. If DICE gives this as an unlock, it would cause mayhem and more problems than solutions.
I can already imagine people fighting over Battle Pickups once they spawn. Heck, within the team/squad itself their would be chaos as to who would use this.
Still, would be nice since it might help people take out OP choppers, etc.

There is! Read the post as it states one of the "loops" is:
-Two types of Map Scans – Vehicle and Infantry Scan, used for long-term highlighting of enemy units on the map for your team.

Seriously considering getting a Nexus 7 just to be able to play Commander while out of the house. :D Can you imagine having a good Commander on your team? They can change the tide of a match with loops.
Same! I hate it when I'm a Medic and the team desperately needs someone to take out tanks! Good move by DICE, I reckon.
Also, being able to play BF4 while outside is nice! I can play it while the wife's out shopping! :D
EA's estimates for BF4 are higher than BF3...and considering BF3 sold more than 17+ million units, reaching 20 million isn't out of the question.

Not by a lot. For some reason, Activision has been rather shy when it came to revealing overall sales numbers for Modern Warfare 3 AND Black Ops 2.

Seems like it. Hope it works. I want to pull my hair out when I press Select and hear my character say "I need ammo!" over and over while the Support guy just looks at me like nothing's happening. :(

For weather, DICE has NOT confirmed it. We do see changing weather, but people are saying it's part of "Levolution," which means might be scripted.

I tried prying stuff off of 'em, but keep in mind EA PR was also overlooking everything. :(
Not to mention they were super busy since BF4's release is right around the corner.
