I don't think so.
The 95% of fad buyers are not going to go re-buy another one when the one they have has been collecting dust for years (I personally know 4 people that way and I bought 2 of them as presents).
Nintendo popped their wad and everyone has motion controlled gaming now.
Looks like K-Mart wants to be a contender, cool.

Cool, most of them look like you pretty much just have to play the game with getting various types of kills.
I hate achievements/trophies where you have to find 9 million of something or grinding something for hours on end.

I also have an xbox 360 as well as PC gaming so I have other alternatives.
I can feel for the folks that only have a PS3 because the other morning I got up to get on the internet and it was down, verizon had cut a fiber and it was down for almost 5 hours, I have to admit that not having any cable or internet made me feel very isolated, we are creatures of habit, we can't help it.
I can imagine being down 3 + weeks has to really suck.

I believe we we have the Nextbox 360 holiday 2012 but I don't think we will see any news on it for E3 '11.
I think M$ will try to pimp Kinect toward the hardcore this year.
I also think they will push Gears 3 hot and heavy, probably even have a Special Gears edition to get a last min boost on the Slims.
I think we'll hear a few whispers from M$ closer at the beginning of 2012 to get the hype machine going then make a full fledged ...
