Wouldn't you agree he has a point when a third of the reviews are from no-name sites giving Halo low scores for hits.

The thing about that is. Halo is the consoles version of CS. It's going to be played more online than anything else.
I'm a pc gamer. Graphics are what used to drive me way back when. We had this title that many benchmark pc gamers (those guys are more about hardware than gaming) were waiting for. The Hype train for Crysis was a long one. Because of its graphics the game was going to be a re-invention of the fps genre. Then the game was released.
It does have a good storyline don't get me wrong. But the hype had done its damage. Everyone who was able to play it on high or med/high that I know of...

I think just about every newer racer beats gt5 (damage wise) when your able to ram a wall at full speed 5x and get rammed from behind and come out with an open door, loose front bumper, ...

cod4 promod was a nice attempt. But in the end it still just cod's version of cs.
dust2 alone probably has more play time than all halo's combined.
