60fps has come to look a little choppy to me as I've grown accustomed to 120fps.
30fps IS unplayable in fps gaming to me. It sounds far fetched but it really kills the gaming experience.
Well imo you should expect to start seeing this engine in the next few years. Unreal was a great engine but is at the end of its life line. Id just set devs up the bomb.

I myself have come to refer to Carmack as washed up. However to do this RAGE and the ID5 engine need to come out with very very minimal technical issues. It needs to have something that sets it worlds apart from the Unreal engine.

Kz3 is hardly pre alpha. Don't expect much more than kz2 offered. Kz3 is just a cash grab based on the same engine. Granted a few tweaks here and there

From what it's beginning to look like M$ is putting all their chips on Kinect. If it fails bad enough I'm hoping they go back to the pc market. 10's of millions of gaming pc's have yet to be unleashed due to the stall in gaming created by DLC and exploitable consumers that are console gamers.
