Handhelds are the ones that have felt the tablet pinch, not PC. That is partially why Vita is doing hilariously worse than the PSP during the same timeframe. PC on the other hand has seen an INCREASE in software spending. I love how handhelds and tablets are now grouped as one family when just two years ago the handheld fanatics were rubbishing claims by industry analysts that mobile/tablets would take a chunk outta handheld gaming market.

On a more serious note, I maintain that Sony should outsource all network related work and infrastructure, I mean the level of incompetence displayed by PSN instability is staggering. Goodness. Please Sony, I'm sure Valve do not mind the extra work.

Yeah PS4 does not have as many users as a single version of CoD has had on PS3 alone. Millions log on to psn during CoD launches, many times more than the current PS4 base. So I call BS on the new user excuse.
