The thermal paste in this video is normal and not the cause of faults, though it probably could be better.
Some TIM drys and others are more liquid like.
The person in the video is a fool as he has voided his warranty and Arctic silver 5 needs to be used for many hours before it becomes really effective (and as above he really did use way to much for the size of the small heatspreader).

Yes that is really bad and if many are like this then that's enough for ME to cancel my UK pre order. I don't tolerate noisy fans etc (Noctuas in my pc).
The problem here could be that the heatsink is not properly seated with the APU or faulty thermal sensors.

Modern SSd's have a life span equal to standard hard drives, the early versions did not.
Some non bluray films and older games may look better at 480p rather than blown up to 1080p.
The more options the better I say.
Sony have 4k TV's so yes for films but games in 4k forget about that for at least another gen.

Playing games in your TV's native resolution is the best option really, If your TV supports max res of 1080i then it will probably also support 1360x768p or 720p which on my old TV looks way better than 1080i.
It matters to me, with that detail in the lighting and shadows I guess we can rule out 60fps seems like we can't have both. Damn weak consoles both of them :(
