They called it XBox One because they wanted to release it along their new Windows One platform. They just reverted that strategy after the X1's first reveal flopped! That's actually the main reason they renamed it to Windows 10!

I agree. If anything the Windows Store exclusivity will hurt Microsoft in the long run. Gamers will not adapt to it. They will have to put the games on Steam if they really want to sell them.

Aren't the Ossic X' out next spring earliest anyway?! I assume the data transferred to the 8 drivers plus head tracking can't possibly be transmitted over a 3.5 jack, including the power to operate both. That's also the reason why it's not wireless..yet. Very excited for those as well. The personalised HRTF solution will be a major step for immersive audio in the future.
