7.1 is not 3D sound though. That's why I asked. You need true spatial sound for optimum VR sound. The Golds don't support it, the Platinums do.
Definitely missing some of the best like RIGS, How we Soar, Holo Ball, Superhypercube, Battlezone, Windlands or Batman Arkham VR. Also X-Wing Mission for Battlefront OMG.

So as you said already...just because one states a machine can do something doesn't mean it needs to do that all the time. It's up to the developers to decide. Still, hinting at something a machine can do, which it can't do at all as in this case with the X1S is simply misleading marketing.
