denuvo has been pretty successful...more successful than all other methods. most sales happen in the first few months. can't fault them for trying.

I never said Doom was innovative. There is only so much left in traditional gaming and you need real visionaries like Ueda for really different game designs...that's why I hinted at VR! It's the breath of fresh air gaming needs and is the exciting development for gaming since decades. There is your innovation!
I disagree completely...From classic shooters like Doom to great and creative games like TLG and FFXV over amazing racing games like FH3 and platformers like R&C it had lots of innovation with PSVR and HDR 4K gaming. Awesome year!
Actually all in all the whole year was pretty incredible...one of the best years in gaming I can remember. That doesn't mean it was without disappointments though. I liked both those games but they underdelivered a bit.
It's taking off already..been dying to find one which isn't sold for a huge extra...I know quite a few people who have the same problem.

Mostly agree on that list. Luckily SF5 became much better with the updates..so did NMS. Mafia 3 at least got less buggy..I'd want them to improve on the boring side missions though.
