The game is interesting and different but mediocre writing, bland characters and uninspired gameplay made it a good but not a great or exceptional game.

Why do people call him a hipster just because he wears glasses?! The protagonist is the opposite of a hipster. Hipsters just care about how they look and how PC everything is. They only talk they never do anything substancial. That's the opposite of how Deadsec and the protagonist are portrayed.
You don't know anything about the main character yet. We know he's been targeted by the system because he's from a certain demographic and that's what made him rebellious that's all. How is that uninspired?! It's the opposite.

The difference was they presented it in a cheesy way in the Horizon games. Nothing cheesy about WD2 in my eyes just people who like to complain.
