i thought bf4 was partnered with amd, no? it wouldn't use physx
@ChrisW
the wifi game streaming from another pc is for games that aren't [yet] natively supported by the steambox's linux os - they said they've got over 300 games i think that can play right out of the box without using a backup pc, and the thousands of other games available through steam can be streamed to your tv.
in any case, backwards compatability is huge and i think one of the strongest cases for a steambox/ pc in the livingroom.
steam says to origin "everything you can do, i can do better. i can do everything better than you"
@MagnusX
i think "stronger" might mean more data is moved at a slower pace, whereas "faster" means less data is moved more quickly... which might equate to slower loading times of large maps vs faster loading times of small maps...?
with pc you can emulate consoles...
aren't this generation consoles playing at 720p? why no 1080p 60fps like 7 years later?
might have to pick this up...
anyone that gives metroid prime trilogy to gamestop is retarded, worth like 80 bucks on ebay
they probably think they need to find something game-changing/ innovative like the gravity gun to give the genre a revolutionary make-over. after portal's mind-bending gameplay, what could they possibly use? might take years to come up with a crazy gun like that... lol
this is why multiplayer games have a disclaimer like "game experience may change with online play and is not rated by the ESRB" or something
many people were worrying and complaining about kinect always being on and spying on you lol, this sounds like more damage control
i actually downloaded an offline beta version of the game and played it on pc lol
won't apps running in the background slow the game and create lag in online play? better latency is always better, hopefully you can disable the feature or turn them off
every computer shuts down when it overheats, never will it damage the hardware. problem is can you open the x1 case and clean out the dust, or put a better heat sink/ fan in it...?
i've never paid 60 bucks for a game... if you can wait a year to start picking up games there is no end to quality titles that go on sale for like 10 bucks at which point you could get 6 games instead of 1. i've got more games than i have time to play them now lol
the answer to "what system should i get?" is "yes"
i love identifying myself as a gamer, the title will become popular just like how it's now cool to be a "nerd"
Ok so now are we in a graphics vs gameplay type of argument?
That is simply retarded. Counter Strike is the most played online shooter in the history of games, it started as an indie mod. It's more popular than every single AAA shooter ever released on a console...
i think of game streaming graphics quality as like watching a youtube video on "auto" or something - the resolution/ graphics fluctuate with bandwidth. so if you've got a great internet connection the streamed graphics can be as excellent as watching a high res cgi film, poor internet connection or get some lag and then your game looks all blurry and stuff... etc
