Some people won't even buy a PS4 so why even make it? Actually most people won't, but for the ones of us that do we want tech that'll somewhat keep up with tech for at least 5 years. I think 120 fps is the sweet spot, but I'd also like to see that on stereoscopic output, also I think 4k is a little high but 2k would be great for 55-70" tv's. And if you say most people don't have 55-70" tv's you would be right, but when the PS3 released most people didn...
@ Kevin Butler, no its not needed (no video game is, they are just a want) but for those of us who have had PS3's for over 6 years it would be welcomed. Not sure if your a late adopter or not but I hear this a lot from people who haven't had a PS3 very long, but there's a reason late adopters wait, and that is price for most. What you have to realize is if you are a late adopter because of price then a PS4 release soon would benefit you since it'll drop to $199 or so by the ti...
It takes skill, that's what's wrong with it. The people complaining are probably the same people that complained about KZ2 and MAG since those also took skill. It's ok for games to have a different feel/control scheme, its actually refreshing, but so many people just want everything to control like call of duty. Their complaining is working, just look at KZ3 compared to KZ2, its kill of duty just without the auto aim.
I recently bought a 32 gb micro SD card, class 10 for $33. That was on sale but I see the same card for $45-50 everyday. I'll wait for an adapter like I did with the PSP and spend less than a 1/3 of the cost of a proprietary 32 gb card.
It's a decent game and if they get the combat just right Alpha Protocol 2 could be a hell of a game.
Mag did have a learning curve, it took me about an hour before I could get kills, then from there you get better the more you play. Same with Killzone 2, although it didn't take quite as long. With COD and its clones you have it down after 5 minutes and are as good as you are going to be, not that its a bad thing, its just nice to have different gameplay.
Replace Killzone 3 with Killzone 2 and add MGS4 and you have the 5 best exclusives. Killzone 2, Mag, GT5, MGS4 were my favorite exclusives. I only played the demo of Uncharted 2 and I really like it but I was put off by the first one, I could barely see the enemy to shoot them on my 50" screen.
They do (android atleast) it's the games that need to start supporting the controllers.
The only Android phones or tablets that the dualshock can't work on is HTC unless it's running cm7 (because of the bluetooth stack)
Personally touch screen doesn't work to well for most games(shooters and action games), its a great addition to traditional controls but not as the only controls. Some games have very intuitive touch controls, like nova and modern combat, but the simple fact that my hands are covering half of my screen all the time makes it hard to see. I like what I've seen from resistance, traditional controls with touch screen to enhance gameplay. As long as we have options I'm happy.
Mandatory demos would be nice.
I'd like to see a $399 price tag, I'd say less but I also don't want them not to include things just for a lower price point.
No one is saying they need to add a ton of storage, just a little. They need to add just enough for games saves, I'd like to see 512 mb, but even just 128 mb would allow for multiple saves and no one would run into the problem of not being able to play their new game.
What does internal memory change about choices, except for possibly giving you more choices? They wouldn't have to make them with 32 gb, just make it with 512 mb-1 gb for game saves/firmware upgrades only. That way no one would be caught off guard not able to play the new game they just picked up, you wouldn't be able to buy DLC or digital games without a card but you could play any game bought at a retail store.
Most women don't know what Skyrim is, most men don't even know. I have seen several Skyrim commercials on tv while my wife and I were watching together but when my nephew said "I want Skyrim for Christmas" she had no idea what it was even though she had seen the commercials. She isn't into it and pays no attention to the commercials for it, just like most men and women. Gamers are in the minority, both men and women.
@darth
The trade off was one week exclusive back to karkand dlc, a rip off if you ask me.
I agree that I to want an easy game now and then, that's when I put in call of duty or other games. All games should not cater to the casual users that want easy games. My point is different strokes for different folks, don't ruin Killzone just to make it another run of the mill "easy" game, there are plenty of those already.
Close, but not the same. If in need for speed you were leading, but after the race is over you find out you were actually last because of the lag, maybe then it would be the same. If there was one car on need for speed that was twice as fast and had better handling than any other car it might be similar. Just because need for speed is an arcade game doesn't make it comparable to call of duty, the P2P hosting and the lag that comes with it along with the quick scoping is what ruins COD for...
Vegas 2 was a little to linear, but the first one is one of my favorite games and I hope the new R6 improves upon Vegas 1
At pandamobile, not several million but it is still ahead by a couple million. I think the PS3 will pass the 360 sales by the end of the holiday season 2012.
