Not everybody has a taste for what Bungie does.
It couldn't be a Halo reference could it?
Publishers got tired of people bitching that games were too hard, and because they were so hard they weren't being finished. This translates into negative word of mouth, which harms sales. It has nothing to do with casuals, it has to deal with publishers wanting to reach the greatest audience possible by not alienating potential consumers by making the games too "hard".
What the fuck? Good job on this "review". What a fucking waste of time.
I think you mean Afghanistan, genius. That's where the game is set. But it's easy to confuse the two seeing as how they are so similar. Hell, they even sound the same.
If more shooters were like SWAT 4, the replayability would increase dramatically.
But is someone projecting? ;)
And you base those statements on what, the sunshine and rainbows that fly out of your 360?
EDIT: Especially, considering that most people are saying this is a fan made trailer from the original Gears of War, PC version. Are you really going to try to say that this looks better than a game from last year? Really? Keep it classy.
"Now if only the game’s story and cutscenes embodied the same spirit as these emotionally devastating trailers …"
He was "emotionally devastated" by this trailer? Someone needs to pull in their feelers and butch the fuck up.
Don't give away the answer. Or at least put up spoiler tags.
@ Quagmire: Way to keep it classy.
Sorry, but Uncharted 2 is not a platformer, it is a cover-based third person shooter with puzzles. A Crack in Time is the best PS3 platformer from 2009. Uncharted 2 is the best overall (PS3)game of 2009, but it isn't a platformer.
1. It's a Jim Sterling article. No surprises there.
2. Who the fuck is Frozen North? What have they done? This is their first original game and I can't find anything on any other games that they may have worked on. So while you can argue whether or not that the Wii is the best for platformers, who the fuck are they to say that it's the best?
We have a WINNER!!!!!
Naughty Dog came up with Uncharted 2 on their own, but they screwed the multiplayer up by trying to please everyone. Let them create Uncharted 3 on their own and it will be badass.
They're just not very game like. And they're called simulators. And they use modified versions of real weapons. And they're only for practicing tactics, not teaching shooting fundamentals. http://www.meggitttrainings...
I think they realized their fuck up. It's been changed. The article no longer mentions the experience requirement as some ass-backwards hint of ND going multiplatform.
It's no longer an RPG. They dumbed down almost all of the RPG elements except for dialog trees and a morality system. The leveling up and inventory systems are horrible. Other than that, the game's fucking awesome, I just wish there was more RPG in this action RPG.
Uncharted 2's multiplayer wasn't "needed", but it certainly wasn't tacked on. It filled a niche that wasn't being filled on the PS3; namely, a third person, cover based shooter. It wasn't until Naughty Dog patched the game that people started complaining about it and the community died out.
GTA's multiplayer was completely pointless though.
Gamesradar. Flamebait. Good friends they are.
You're right. Having a minigun mounted on a humvee is really getting to the real deal of the current war.
