Yes but its not build up like one would expect. The Main-Story finishes with Chapter 1 and from then on it tries to wrap up some semi plot-lines but it obviously got to big and left more questions open than it answered.
I thought i would get my final conclusion out of this MGS but i was wrong. It's another chapter in the overarching plot of MGS and leaves much room for plenty of other games. It even teases the next game. One could say i was played by the game :D
hopefully they don't make us wait too long.
Sad thing is i can see konami even go the annual release route. Chapter after chapter after chapter and year after year. Hopefully this never happens.
My hopes are up for a final conclusion in form of a DLC. Maybe a MGS release in 2 years now that the Fox Engine and all the Assets are ready.
Everything that could go wrong at Konami has already happened so i also hope that one of kojimas proteges will take over the franc...
At first i really disliked the ending too but after thinking about it i could see it in MGS Lore and it was a masterful twist. Maybe not so well delivered but awesome.
This was clear from the moment i saw chapter 2 showing up. Which writer who has his mind in the right place would write a story only spanned over 2 chapters. It's pretty obvious. So many plot-lines are unfinished its really sad.
As much as i hate it but i am hoping for at least some DLC. Wishing for Konami to release this for free seems just not very realistic.

Satisfaction definitely feels different. I am still hocked on the gameplay but...
The story might not be on par with the best in the series but the gameplay is definitely the best in the series. I would have wished for better and more memorable boss-fights and a better bridge between the other games but where the story fails the gameplay satisfies.

I wouldn't say that there are too many open world games. Mad Max is just not on the same level as other AAA open world games. Only searching for scrap and driving from a to b can get pretty monotone in a few hours. If they would have put a little bit more creativity in this game it maybe had the depth in gameplay it deserves.
I dont say Mad Max is a bad game. Its solid and its good but its just not on the same level as the Witcher, GTA, MGS not even with asscreed.

As much as i hate konami and DLC politics in general I DEMAND MY CHAPTER 3!!! NOW!
So i got the chance to get Mad Max early and i can wait a few days more or less to play MGS. But of course it's itching me ^^
As a writer myself i dare everybody who agrees with this to write a story on the same scale as kojima. then we can talk again. criticism is easy, being creative on the other hand...

I would love to see how we benefit as gamers. When consoles release in China it is only a matter of time until bigger studios will be formed. Maybe we're in for whole new genre of china-games. Love me some Kung-Fu Actiongames :D

OT: It could still get announced at gamescom. I really liked MS e3 show so i am hoping they will go all in at gamescom when they have all eyes on them.
It's just the console pre-order stuff. It's not even guaranteed that it will work.
