Ok say what u want and believe what you like but i love the persona series for what it is (and i hope it stays what it is) and also every single old school FF's.
I also played Wasteland 2 and Divinity recently and as far as i remember they where also turn based.
That is about a game changer to an already great game. Let's play it different for once and enjoy it. Kingdom Hearts was awesome and it wasn't turn based.

I think Ace Combat will also make great use of VR. All in all Mech and Flight simulators will be a sure shot in VR.
Remember that Mech game they released in PS2 Times with that awesome extra controller that looked like an actual cockpit. Time to remake it ^^
And you do realize that this article and discussion started before Square announced that episodic BS.
As i said in another article: I can defend the action based combat but i can't say any good about that episodic narration attempt. It's clearly an impulse decision made by higher ups to make cash out of the new rising hype the game get's.
Could also be the fact that VR has to prove itself. Which developer or publisher would like to spend 30-100 Million bucks on a game with no audience. Also small indie games and concept games will scout the ground for what gameplay works and what not. So we should not doom anything that we have to build ourselves as the gaming community. Look how long games as a general took to catch up with the mainstream audience.

Ok... i can defend the aspect that it will not be turn based but making the game episodic... I don't know what to say anymore.
I liked it how it was. I was just hoping for one more big announcement like Sony Bends game or some other AAA Def title but all in all this is not bad because it simply means that they are not ready to show anything about the other big games.
We often talk about way to long times between announcements and releases, then games get delayed and we catch interest in something new so what exactly is wrong with holding it back?

I hope they mix it up a little. Maybe you can hack and slash like in an action game and once you use magic and summons it goes into a slow state of gameplay where you can choose your attacks and who you like to attack.
Also that is on point what you said about 13 gameplay.
I'm not completely against turn-based games. I love the Persona series and the old FF's but i thing this one should go with the time and maybe become an instant classic in another sub-genr...

Wow @SmeargleFlint. Don't take it to personal. Thing about turn based games is they just don't sell like they used to do and that has something to do with the fact that people like to have more control over their characters. Nothing wrong about that.
