I always say if it aint broke dont fix it ;)
I wouldnt be surprised if an year or so alot of these drives are going to start failing, the best thing for Sony to do is to either address the problem with better drives, or just increase the warranty for an additional year or two.
It be nice if these issues would be brought up more so Sony would consider maybe extending warranty for another year at least. I paid $500 for my 60gb and I dont want to pay another $150 for it after very little use of it, that is just absurd
I bought a 60 gig on nov 2007 and Blu Ray drive died about 5 months of use, never even finished a game on the thing, played maybe 3 blu rays on it. All I can say is Sony support have nice people on the phone, but dont expect your console to come back flawless on the exterior, thats the only complain I have about it..... Oh and Im not bashing Sony as I have also got RRoD on my 360

I know this is off topic but I actually got RRoD too and I baby my consoles, not to mention I prob had played maybe 3 games on my ps3 some blu rays and, the disk drive craps out on me after about 5 months, just wanted to put my .02 cents in
Well for people that only have a Wii this generation, its not a bad addition to their library, to me it honestly looks like an xbox1 game but oh well maybe the controls will make it next gen..... sarcasm

No he is right I finished the game on the 360 and I encountered the problem too,the instructions on screen were completely inaccurate, it took me a while find the right spot to bring the stupid thing down, funny how only some people encountered this

As far as games I mentioned Guitar Hero as an example, but anyways this goes for FPS, racing and so on, I always get an excellent response with absolutely no lag what so ever, all these stupid little tests people do trying to prove there is indeed lag is BS, You would have to have SUPER HUMAN response reactions to even notice, Oh and by the way Little Richey, thanks but no thanks for your settings suggestions, I rather have more color accuracy and detail than be blinded with your crazy bright...
Even though you're right about the black levels, it is but a slight difference from the 650, so in my book the sammy is still a way better value for the buck, you just cant go wrong with the best lcd on the market today
