hell yea it has grounds to be pulled
well, if it was a misspelling...SPELT is a word, it's the past tense and a past participle of spell...
i think it just took them this long for the complaint to go thru and for them to actually take action on it. but yes it does help that other games are getting hit with similar complaints (by similar i mean complaints of being disrespectful, insensitive, and inconsiderate...either way it doesn't matter, the problem is that developers are losing their respect because they have none for others...
the game dev community is really starting to make me sick, especially take-two and ro...
i can't believe the disrespect and cruelty of some people...i seriously hope Ledonne and Lambourn realize how insensitive and inconsiderate they have been and change their outlook on life to include compassion and respect for others...
i'm just happy nintendo isn't going bankrupt. they are an excellent company and have a great global reputation, more so than MS and Sony...i'd hate to see any of these companies that supply us with good times in gaming go down but especially N. so i'm happy for nintendo... good news
that pic is indeed hilarious...
i'm sure more than Jack Thompson is happy...i'm guessing lots of concerned individuals (parents especially) are happy as well. if not happy then at least content with the rating...
the rating system may suck but at least the ESRB understand "free market"
why would i pay $49.99 for a Jenga console game? ...maybe it'll be like a 3D tetris or something ...i still can't imagine what they would include in order for me to pay $50 bucks for it...
i think this has more to do with it than anything...
i would so love to see the construction of a Nintendo/Apple partnership, NOT A MERGER, just a partnership...
i think a merger would destroy them both or at least one of them...
an obvious but excellent perception and may i say i love it
SOOOO SWEEEEEET!
good luck in finding a city council that thinks this game will be "great" to put on the shelves...
oh ok, i apologize for misreading your intentions... thank you for clarifying because that really made me feel like crap...
i find no "beauty" in it as someone else had previously stated elsewhere but we DO live in a FREE MARKET SOCIETY and i agree that these types of games/movies should be allowed to be sold under certain restrictions...obviously, Manhunt 2 shouldn't be sold or marketed to anyone under 18...or maybe even 21 although a physical age has no merit on the actual mental age of the individual...there are plenty of 21 year olds who are incredibly immature and easily influenced.
a...
@Norad6 with the way you "speak" you don't sound old enough to walk let alone drink. taking responsibility to protect our children is obviously something you lack. probably because you still are a child. your immaturity toward responsibilty is apparent. i'm guessing you drink irresponsibly as well... it is the duty of the mature to censor content that should not be viewed by the immature such as yourself.
your looking at a very narrow facet of violence in media and therefore your argument doesn't encompass the actual influence this type of video game has on the human psyche.
the more involved and immersive a game is, the more influential the subject matter on the gamer. this is the argument and a serious one at that. to persude the gamers psyche into a murderous and grotesque view of reality will have serious consequences on the gamer (especially young ones as they are the most ...
indeed. anyone who thinks gruesome and glorified violence is entertainment needs professional mental help...
i agree with you, it should be banned from marketing and sale. but unfortunately our society has been force fed violence via the media for years and years. this slow desensitization of violence continually erodes our society into believing that its "ok" to hurt others. this game is just another step toward completely demoralizing our society and culture...
its the parents job to censor what their child ingests but the problem is that thousands of children have parents...
well, it may not be "right" but it definately isn't wrong...they did what they were supposed to do...granted the rating systems are in need of an overhaul...
