This game has big problems with the flow of gameplay and map design as well as its base capturing mechanics.
The biggest problem is trying to find a decent battle as more often than not it is just zergs massing up on small groups of defenders.
Yes it is all well and good being in a big organised outfit were the real fun is but the game is very boring and has a lot of downtime purely because of the games inability to convey information to players.
Game is way better than the average 7 scores handed out for it.
Probably bad players who don't bother to read the in game encyclopaedia who have no idea about flight tactics or flying disciplines.

Neither until they drop in price and those absurd game prices drop to and until some must have exclusives come out, both their line ups are decidedly average.
I have to agree this one isn't bad. watched the first two eps online and the battles seem more intense and far better animated.
Only thing I didn't like about Origins was how short it was and how quick cut ut was, felt really really rushed.

IF a game is for example SP only and has a 10 hour campaign it really should not be priced at $60/£40+
I will never support this micro transaction business and any game that has it I will NOT buy.
It is a disgusting anti consumer practice.
The demo shown at the VGX awards was not very inspiring as the melee weapons seemed to just phase through the zombies rather than providing any actual feedback.
But if you have played it you know better than me, all I can do is hope they release a Demo and if not I will torrent it to try it out and buy it if it is any good.
Upgradable hardware with open source software will never have to compete against static hardware with restricted software.

I can't say what the defacto best game I have played this year is....
The last of us is certainly up there, Outlast is definitely up there and was the most memorable play through for me of all SP campaigns this year mainly because it scared the crap out of me.
War Thunder would be my favourite MP of the Year probably along with Natural selection II.
So hard to choose so I can't, guess I will just have to go with a pool of games I enjoye...
Of course Bad Company was meant for consoles, just the main series was neglected for those reasons and DICE seemed to forget their roots completely.
They also thought producing shiny graphics with overblown light effects made the game PC centric.

Battlefield was permanently damaged when the main series was put on to console and that bad company tripe was started up.
The Best BF games were BF1942, BF2142, BF Vietnam and BF2.
The glory days of this franchise are long gone.
They are really pushing the marketing hard for a game that looks like Dead Island with worse hit detection/combat and parkour elements.

Skyrim is up there purely because of its modability plus the setting carries it forward and the story is pretty good and I was blown away by the dragons the first time I seen one.
