Yes, that's when PS4 was competing with the less powerful Xbox One. Now we're talking 3 times more power than the PS4 with the Scorpio, that is a huge difference. Now price-point is where it's going to matter.
@thekhurg
So you're telling me that the Scropio will not have improved performance and graphics at 1080p, meaning they will look the same as on the current Xbox One.. but the Neo will improve these games?! That's freaking dumb of MS, so basically it is only going to appeal to people with 4K TV's. I'd pass on the Neo and Scorpio if they didn't improve the games over the original consoles. I'm not interested in 4K gaming right now. I don't get how this new...
You're really thinking Sony doesn't need Neo because the PS4 hasn't hit its potential? Scorpio move over!
Neo is mostly about VR, I think. So you're saying screw VR, we don't need it.
It's more a concern now that Scropio was announced and has all this power. Yes, PS4 has some great exclusives, but so does Xbox/PC. IF the Scropio were to at some point be able to improve 1080p graphics and performance, it could hurt PS4 hardware sale...
They'll delay it years even though the release date is October 2016?
Whoahh! Did you see that? Tell me you saw THAT, at least?
been watching the whole thing, good stuff. Still 2 more days of Livecast
I would imagine, otherwise, they'd have a new platform for PS2 Classics, which is pontential $$$.
Yes as long as it is s smooth 30fps.
Developer in Livecast Day 1 said 3 years.
Meaning the emulation is part of the game itself and not part of the PS4 OS.
I have waiting been long enough, but by the time I'd get an Xbox One S, It could be toward the end of the year, and I will just replace it with a Scorpio 6 months later, and I'd rather have the 6Tflop experience the first playthrough. I'm for sure getting the Neo if it has a CPU/GPU upgrade, THAT before the Scorpio, I lean more towards Sony even more now because of their console centric focus. I'm locked out of some great PC/Xbox1 games if I choose only 1, though, I always en...
@GUTZ
Yeah, for sure, I'm hoping it's affordable. I definitely prefer the convenience of consoles. All those parts that could go bad, peripherals, set up, driver updates, other issues.. PC is sometimes a mess, but there are some games that are only on PC, and if it gets every game that Xbox gets, then I might consider it PC over Xbox, but I still prefer consoles.
Xbox is ****ed as a exclusives platform but I still will probably get a Scorpio, for MS games.
I mean I am at least waiting for the Scorpio, but I might end up just building a PC, depending on how it plays out with Xbox/PC.
Never had a real problem on PS4, I think it's exagerrated.
I'm waiting for Scorpio now :( was going to get an Xb1 this year, but then shoot, I might just build me a gaming PC since they're not focusing on exclusives for their console anymore and with Xbox Play Anywhere, I get my achievements on PC.
i already knew it had to be God of War when the orchestra started playing, since it's a Playstation conference and the music was akin.
Because he was expecting a new Barbie game.
Remaster != Remake/reboot. Ratchet&Clank PS4 was not a remaster. They called these Crash games remasters.
Yeah I know, sounds lame, I was getting emotional with all the disagrees.
I am not liking where Xbox is going right now. Nope.
