I bet that Sony has not yet decided what to do.Sony is not some one mind entity,some people might be for used games ban,some against.
But I think used games ban tech will be silently shoehorned into PS4,just in case :)

Apparently Sony was flip-flopping between Nvidia,AMD,Cell 2.0 and even Intel(Larrabee).MS on the other hand always had just one architecture in mind.
Going to n4g for good Nintendo/MS news is a bad idea.
But this is not something restricted to n4g,for some reason lots of people seem to have big problems when discussing anything Nintendo.Rational discussion is almost impossible.
In the case of Lego game,people seem to forget what is the target audience of Lego games,Edge history with Lego reviews and why is Edge taking down sequel scores.

Game budgets have gone 10x,userbase didn't follow,Apple showed and allowed lots of unhealthy stuff to happen at their marketplace = consumers vary of paying top dollar for games,gaming industry profit margins gone to shit.
I think hardcore gamers grossly overestimate general population need for playing games.Most of the people are not in the search for Holy Grail in games,they just want something to entertain them,to pass the time.Cheap,free to play smartphone/PC games do...

Because if that mattered then AMD would not be in a bad situation today.The bulk of their business is selling PC parts not collecting royalties from consoles.
360 and Wii certainly didn't make them swim in money(175 million consoles).I don't see why would that change with PS4.
No shit,rumor has it that PS4 chip is as cheap as possible.AMD is not in a good financial position at them moment so I guess they don't have much choice.Nvidia is also notoriously hard to work with.
One thing is for sure,AMD is not going to make much money from PS4 chip directly.Maybe indirectly through increased brand awareness and software tailored towards AMD design quirks...we'll see how it goes
