microsoft sort of screwed themselves out of some sales last month when they announced the kinect-less version coming out in june.
@slivery
just go buy it from walmart, anyways, then take that unopened walmart copy and return it at gamestop.
did you know the actual number is only 30% of people that buy Call of Duty play the multiplayer.
i know it was said that this was a life of the title exclusive, which i always thought to mean "life of the title" meant until another titanfall game came out in some form...
but also, couldn't there be a stipulation to exclusivity based on sales numbers?
i don't know. i'll admit, i was upset when they made this exclusive, but it would never have swayed me to buy an xbox. i had no desire to talk to my tv when the remote is just as, if not more, convenient...
I'll admit, i'm more of a fan of Sony's consoles, but Sony usually has boring conferences. For all of Microsofts flaws, they usually put up a good show.
no, it's not. sold-through is sold to consumers, sold-in is sold to retailers. sony's sold-through is 7 million. xbox one's sold-in is 5 million. nobody can say for a fact what microsofts sold-through number is, because they haven't released that number. but it's less than 5 million. maybe 4.5?
it may be a fraction, but in a couple years, when IWs next COD will be out, it will be a much higher fraction. and by then, they will have to bring something special to the table, not the same old stuff. so they pretty much need to be thinking about how to maximize the new consoles, not hold them back, otherwise they will lose a billion dollar a year franchise.
if anything, by that time, the ps3 and 360 will be treated by the devs like the wii has been for the past few years. an after...
@uberpwnyexpress
"sold-through" means it was actually sold to consumers, not just retailers, what is to ignore?
what business doesn't?
all those things are actually fun to use in game, in my opinion. sooo, uuuh, yeah. awkward.
i think this is supposed to be april 22nd, not may 22nd. that's what the video says, at least. and not that anyone in here seems to care. lol.
i think they are just having fun with it, at this point. they all of a sudden have an extra year to do stuff, so throwing stuff like this in the game is fine. it's not like anyone has to buy them if they don't like them, anyways.
it did sell some systems. not enough, apparently. the problem is that it was coming out on 360, and it turns out the 360 version isn't terrible. that was actually bad for microsoft, in a way.
i'm holding out til it's retail price is $249.99
@Eonjay yeah, but it wouldn't be happening either way if retailers could move the systems they have. i think it's exactly what it seems.
i know a lot of my friends decided not to get the last of us, because they were saving money to get the ps4 at the time. some of them even sold their ps3's. i'm sure there's more than a few people that did that.
it's not that it shouldn't be $60 dollars. it's a $60 game, no arguing that. it also comes with the $15 dlc that was outstanding, as well.
what i think should happen is it should be like a $15-20 upgrade if you already bought the ps3 version.
comparatively, why is this one worse than those? the maps are about the only thing different, besides having better hit detection. quite honestly, i feel like it's not really the game getting worse, but the players getting genre fatigued.
black ops 2 is by far the worst one, in my opinion. everything was broken in that game, from spawns to hit detection.
unless they have other bundles planned, it's almost certainly the ps4/vita bundle.
