I looked at it as more of a "substance over graphics" story. Nothing to do with what the game could be made on (system, past or present).
Because indie games are huge for consoles, it's a strong selling point edge for the PS4...
And it's an area where the Xbox one is striving to be better in.
That's why indie developers and what they have to say is important.

The value of the games were like in many bundle deals worked out with the game company as a whole. I'm 100% positive that what MS paid per ubisoft game was WAY less than retail. (Talking about the Assasins creed bundle in particular)

I would normally agree with you on that statement, but, it is talking about Sony because of what is still going on with a different hack in the company. I do believe that hack group said that they would cripple Sony on Christmas.
It would hurt everyone, like you said, but current events are just that, current events. SONY just happens to be the one this time,mand with so high profile people to boost its coverage.

I do think some great games will be shown to make me play my ps4 again. I stopped playing ff14 on it. Beat infamous with a friend , during a weekend visit with the family. Knack had nothing for me, I haven't played killzone...
Oh and LBP isn't my thing, though that game will find a nice niche for playing.
All in all, I'm not totally disappointed, but I did expect more games that would appeal to me. ...

I agree with everything you said except for one... Dark souls is certainly not a jrpg.
Lol, no, I do it two times, do the nightfall, weekly, and the dailies every now and then..l. All totaling about 2-3 hours.
This happened to me on weds, after the update of course. I was doing my normal raid time and it made me push the raid date back to Saturday!
Hopefully this is fixed soon so I can play for the two hours each week I put in for the raid!

The reason for the change, is directly because of three things.
Price
Word of mouth over exclusives
Change in policy, as people are now starting to see MS doing....
On ff11 you could play with Sony players.
FF14 will allow the same if it comes out on x1.
It was made on 360, ps2, and PC knowing that it would be handled by SE after going through live. (FF11 that is)
No reason for it to not be the same.
