Owning both platforms I can tell you PS4 UI seems more stable than the X1, but I prefer the X1 just I think its a bit busy right now maybe it will clear up over time. In either case I think both companies are doing great work with their platforms, and we as gamers are in a really good spot.

Also, on a more important note how do you like life with that Samsung EVO 840? I got a 256gb Vertex 4, and wanted to get a 1TB SSD. I know they offer the 840 in a 1Tb id assume same performance.

Awesome this guy is really in-touch with what is needed for the X1, and this is very reassuring for X1 owners. I got both systems well I got two of each actually and cant wait for more cool next gen games. This just good stuff more and more good news for all platforms every day.
You really think its a waste of time? This is an excellent project to put in a portfolio when applying for a gig with Valve... on thing that was a waste of time is your comment. Hate to be mean, but there is more to life than just games. People need to make a living,and this was a excellent spectacle of someones skill set.
I enjoyed it, but like any game its not perfect and it has issues here and there. However, its a killer game no pun intended. Also, being free makes it pretty sweet deal if you ask me. I might get it, as I ve only played it on PC would be nice of the couch.
Well I would disagree with you on there not being any over head with selling digital games. See you need to pay for servers, server maintenance staff, uploading ISP, and maintenance of the digital merchandise.
See Best Buy, Wal-Mart, GameStop, etc they all have similar over head and they still make a huge profit. Which means that the digital space profit margins are smaller due to the fact that less people buy digital, and return on investment is less.

I just finished the DLC and Single player again, and the day this comes out bet your ass ill be buying it again. Its well worth the price, and a blast to play. Its a great single player game, and with really good emphasis on story telling. It will be worth the wait, and will give me something else to play on my PS4 that isn't inFAMOUSE.
I think both systems are selling rather well, and better then previous generation at a higher profit margin. I do not see why either is to worried, and yes one does better then the other, but they are both in good place. I think their software sales are going to be better this time around, as the install base is growing at a much faster pace than 360/PS3 did.

Steam prices and consoles prices should not be compared. If you were making games you'd want to earn as much as possible for your work. I am sure when you have down time at work, you do not go to your boss and say hey I am slow right now pay me less.
Bought all the games when they came out really good games. I don't see why this is a rip of being digital. I mean, I don't have to get up to change disc's, I have no clutter in my living room space, and I can go to my 2nd xbox one and just start playing with out needing to bring a disc with me. To me that's a good reason for digital only. However, I see why people love the retail packaging. Its available in both flavors no need to be negative all the times people.
I doubt that the FPS will be 60 on a high fidelity game like this, and in my opinion its not needed. inFAMOUS is great at 30. 900/1080p is a fine compromise, and I do not see the difference on my 70" TV in my living room. Now back to inFAMOUS lol

I was very much excited for the digital only future, as it would bolster the game dev community. The 24hr DRM was a bit of a pain, but then again I should we could have managed.
I am in it for the games, and the older I get the less time I have to revisit the oldies. However, being a software developer (not video games guys clinical software) I know how bad piracy hurts and 2nd hand sales are even worse. Again thought I post my biases as well.
