Meanwhile Wolf Among Us is nowhere to be found.
@BlakHavoc I feel pretty stupid, no I didn't I do pretty much everytime before I comment on here but this time I just read your comment and judged what I thought the article was about, my bad. Just pretend I didn't comment above lol.
I don't know if it's that they have no faith, I think it's just a lower barrier to entry for a new IP. I mean it's a more drastic example but look at Rocket League they took a risk starting the game for free hoping they would get people in and hooked and then once they started charging for it people would see a healthy happy community and buy it. It's obviously not a perfect analogy but I think MS probably has the same general thought process getting people in at $40 can b...
There is a wide open area in the market for AA or mid tier games from $29-49 or so. After the mid tier collapsed a few years ago with THQ and the like and scared publishers from that space, people are realizing there is space again in the mid tier, AA space for certain games to thrive. Sony saw it with Ratchet, Indie devs have seen it over the past year or so and I hope MS now has. Having games in that space only leads to variety and options in the industry.
Edit. The headline of the article is a bit misleading. I have no problem with Femshep being the face of Mass Effect Andromeda, they seemed to lean that way with ME3 and the previous Andromeda trailer at E3 seemed to indicate that was the direction they are going.
Do you guys know not wanting to pay a certain price for a game or remaster and a game being objectively overpriced are two very different things? I'll probably wait and get it during black friday, Christmas or a sale but saying "it should only be $30-$40 period" is kind of an ignorant statement when you have no insight into the true time or effort put into the game.
Unless Elder Scrolls VI is being developed by another studio (ie Obsidian with New Vegas) there is absolutely no way we see it in 2017 are you joking? Just think about the timeline for a minute Skyrim came out Nov 11, 2011 preliminary Fallout 4 development started in 2009 with most of Bethesda Game Studios working on Skyrim. Development for Fallout 4 only started into major development after Skyrim so early 2012 when most of Bethesda GS moved to Fallout 4 with some working on Skyrim DLC once ...
Marvel recently (last year or two) said they were going to take far better care of their IP in regards to gaming. Do far less movie tie in stuff. Invest more in gaming and make a priority of working with talented developers. There is at least one game in development at Telltale. I'm just wondering about this new "era" of Marvel games.
Looks really good. I wonder about the future of Marvel games. Will there be an Xbox or PC exclusive game? are they all PS4 exclusive? What characters are being developed for? Who is developing Marvel games? Will Marvel allow freedom to not be movie tie-ins? It will be an interesting thing to watch in the industry going foward. For now PS4 owners get to play a game perfectly suited to a fantastic developer as an X1 owner I'm jealous.
Exactly, the right games can thrive in the "mid tier" space with the right pricing and the right release date.
Just don't cheat. It's really not that hard.
Microsoft is in a hard spot with PC, they get heat from people when they say they're supporting Windows more then don't put first party AAA stuff like Halo on PC. Then when they say a first party AAA is going to PC (or rumored to in this case) they get heat from people saying there is no point in buying an Xbox if their AAA stuff is on PC. It's a bit hypocritical to complain on both sides.
@Stereotypical_gamer
That line of thinking is part of the problem. Thinking there is no way a "game that is obviously good" can get a score that low so it obviously must be clickbait. Any game with hype or any sequel that has fans can't score below a 8 without people getting their panties in a bunch. If those people haven't noticed the scale goes from 1-10 (or
1-5 etc.) YOU CAN USE THE WHOLE SCALE, that's what it's there for. I think the ...
It's been known for some time you pick one at the beginning and play the whole game with them. And if you want you can play the game again with the other you can for major gameplay difference and (I believe) minor story/mission differences.
Looking at the other petitions at the bottom really put how moronic these people are in perspective, petitions like stop the dog meat festival, save a national treasure etc. and your complaining about a 7.1/10 review. As someone who signed or made this petition is it really lost on you how out of place you are on that site? is it lost on you how petty and absurd your whining is when looking at other issue on the site? Are you really that disconnected from how the world works? Here's a ti...
Just a question, what do any of us gain if MS stops making consoles? Nintendo stopping consoles is maybe the only one that benefits owners of other consoles cause they would presumably develop for all platforms. But if either of the other (Sony or MS) hypothetically stopped the one left would have no competition, no one to push them, no one to keep them in check. Competition benefits consumers that's just basic business knowledge. Sony benefited from MS horrible console launch, everyone w...
God, this comment section is such nonsense. If you fanboys, PS4 and X1, quit participating in this childish pathetic console war you could probably double the games you play on your beloved console. But no let's act like some six years fighting on a playground cause one got an extra lollipop.
@Letthewookiewin I don't disagree but at this point MS isn't going to miraculously come back and "win this console gen." So they need to just set up and build for the future. New IP's, building new franchises, creating AAA diversity, building talented first party studios. Those are the surprises I want.
I know somethings will be held for Gamescom like last year. But I think we'll see.
Something hardware related (Slim or 1.5). Maybe Hololens or VR
A big group of BC titles, probably many of the more popular requests that have been rumored/confirmed (Bioshock, Black Ops, Red Dead, etc.)
I think we see original Xbox BC a small group of popular titles for it.
I think we'll see 1-2 unannounced AAA games (maybe a Alan Wake 2 ...
You guys sound like children both Gears and God of War are critically acclaimed series loved by millions and rightfully so, neither objectively "suck" neither is objectively "better" than the other. Both had great showings at E3 and if it's anything to go on they're both going to be fantastic.
