I'm kinda gettin sick of everyone jumping on the ''wiiu has no games'' bandwagon. Are you aware the console has been out for 1.5 Months globably ?
People need to take a deep breath and relax , and just remember that pretty much no console ever has had some genuinely good games after 1.5 Months in its life.

Correction DS IS THE HIGHEST selling Handheld and THE HIGHEST SELLING GAMING DEVICE of all time also. You must of missed all the comotion when it was reported late 2012 that The DS had indeed over taken the Ps2. It's like a mill or 2 ahead now because it's been selling strong over the holiday season.

Pokemon would be awesome on Wiiu and would probably be in their best interest to have console versions of games with the same gameplay formula that can link with Handhelds.

Off screen play - You can watch TV or someone else can whilst playing , this feature has been MASSIVE for me and has literally CHANGED the way I game.

But a Famitsu poll isn't exactly compiled representative data for the entire Japanese Gamers userbase. For example the 3DS sales will still destroy Vita sales in 2013 meaning this Poll is not representative of reality.

I have had loads of games to play on my wiiu because I skipped buying the likes of AC3 , Blops 2 , etc on 360 so I could buy on wiiu.
And I'm glad I did because the Dual screen Multiplayer of blops 2 and off screen play of Assassins creed 3 means they are surely the definitive console versions.

You are mostly right , but a few of your suggestions stray away from the core gameplay a bit too much.
Your first point is the one that will do it. It just needs amazing graphics and a Huge world with epic spanning vista's.
Skyward sword in my opinion is a masterpiece, considering how they've used the wii and its controller.
But for Wiiu I expect a Next gen Looking Zelda game.
It's confirmed to be coming to Wiiu , Ps3 and 360. And the developers already stated they wish to take full advantage of the wiiu's graphical capabilities and gamepad functionality.

The Gap between PS1 and N64 graphically was MASSIVE. The n64 could push proper 3D games like Ocarina and Goldeneye and the PS1 was stuck with Pre rendered flat psuedo graphics.
Regardless of that the PS1 was a fantastic console and won that respective generation.

mmmmm , In my opinion Not only is Japanese Gaming still ''relevant'' it's the best. Zelda , Mario , Smash Bros , Metal Gear , Ni no Kuni , Xenoblade , etc etc etc.
Download Crimson Shroud for 3DS aswell as LM , They both kick major level 5 ass.
Excellent news for Wiiu owners and passionate 360 and ps3 only players who missed out on this fantastic 3DS game.
Hopefully they have put in a years worth of new textures , lighting , etc etc , because allthough this is a cutting edge handheld game it still falls way short of HD console/PC standards....
