Mortal Kombat on Switch is brilliant, I agree with you. No one's.expecting it to be 1:1 with the PC/console versions. That would be unreasonable and impossible. It's very cool to see current gen games like this be ported over to the portable Switch though.
All star racing came close? It was no way near as good and sold a fraction of what MK8 has sold ( fair enough though if you personally liked it...) .

I'm gunna play one of my 30+ brilliant Switch games now , and in genuinely going to enjoy it like always. My friends come round, the Switch goes on. It's a genuinely brilliant console with arguably the best exclusives and upcoming exclusives.

The Switch NES games hav online multiplayer , save states , and remixed SP versions which are very cool. There's quite a few games on there now as well.
