so this game sucks because of the ending. then you probably think bioshock sucks too. But what this really means is that you spent your time playing a game that sucks, and you didnt enjoy it, just to say you beat it and its over. or are you just upset that the ending is only the ending of the first part of a trilogy?
cause you know, Fellowship of the Rings that was not a good ending. but i am not about to say that the movie sucked, simply because it led into the sequal.
thats the point for halo right there. "its mario dont hate" does that automatically get a bump in scoring. Cause its classic? halo3 might be good. But i think mario galaxy is leaps and bounds better than the last mario game. oka sure it was mario 64, i think. but still. halo 3, looks to me an extension of halo2. a slightly better looking one, yeah you finish the fight, the trilogy is over. but finishing the story shouldnt equate to a better score.
i dont think i have seen so many games get such a variety of reviews at the same general time...
hmm there is actually a book with this. WEll not A BOOK! but a scifiction/mystery book/series. Its pretty interesting, dealing with crimes, criminals & victims, etc.I am sure somewhere down the road that is where we are headed. HIVE-Mind/Borg futuristic stuff. (Playstation 9 BABY!). But i would volunteer.
Being a film student, i take the same consideration for game reviewers than i do with films, and the same thing i tell my folks.
Critics review it for the masses, for the lowest common denominator... Very general. very very good bad general. But since everyone has their own likes and dislikes, one persons review, or two or even three peoples review shouldnt be the be all. I think alot of games gets overlooked, like movies, because critics, review for the dumbest of people.
so i just started playing this game last night, so far i enjoy it, the fighting i find isnt just a one button mash, you have three buttons, step, grab and attack. but one attack is really needed, but there is diversity, liking grabbing a templar, after beating him to a wall, and tossing him over the side. but like the penny arcade mentioned, its not a game that i would want to rush through. The Journey, not the destination, is definatly the experience of the game.
hmmm well this is reinforcing my original assumption, that this is more of an interactive story than a videogame, But i will try it out tonite, and see whats up... just got to wait till i get off work...
hopefully, its not long and i can get it out of the way before Mass Effect is here on tuesday.

i am currently on the second level. or is it the third? and damn im kinda of nervous and excited about the rest. hopefully its not all front loaded. or rests on what it has. but a HD tv and surround sound. this game is badass. Michael Mann, definatly needds to direct this movie, cause its a game, so obviously it will be optioned.
