My personal favorite game of last-gen, and one of the best ever made.
I'm starting to get the sense that between a new outbreak of Covid in next few months, and global unrest, along with an economic catastrophe has yet to truly hit home, next gen consoles will be delayed til 2021.
Never had a feeling like this in my life -- this isn't the "dark before the dawn" as some people think.
For me it's more like 'what wouldn't make me buy a PS5' as I know they'll deliver.
I agree with you on all points, but one thing:
Your third point actually speaks to a point you make elsewhere in the post -- many people feel the need the urge to riot because of a festering sense of anger and hopelessness. This incident is just one aspect of a very broken, unhappy USA. People are using it as a catalyst.
Both of your comments are spot-on. One psychopath of a police officer (and likely racist) uses excessive force on a black man and killed him, to draw further conclusions from this event is a little illogical. Tragedies are just that -- tragic -- but are a sad element of reality.
I know the argument taken is that this incident is reflective of a police force that is inherently racist and needlessly brutal, but it doesn't justify having unrelated mediums having events del...
You don't know how many times people have said this in the last 30 years. Every war, every election, every incident like this...they are all point of ignition for a civil war that never comes to fruition. By next month the riots will be over.
That is pretty unnecessary, even if you have quite a lot of disposable income. Buying either XB/PS and then a Nintendo console I'd understand.
Xbox has been floundering for a generation and a half at this point.
This site has an extreme bias towards Sony/Playstation, and I say that as a fan of Playstation. Possibly the most PS-biased community outside of actual PS-focused sites.
Eh... the way I see it, MS have diluted their brand to a dangerous point...they started to falter sometime around when Kinect was announced... They kept pace for a while but Sony has been dominating for years now.
I hope you're wrong, it's not a good thing for any of us if Sony is the only show in town when it comes to serious gaming.
Xbox execs must be feeling mighty queasy right now. Cannot wait for this!
What's UN5?
Considering this with all future PS4 releases... TLoU II, GoT, and even multiplats like Cyberpunk 2077, Assetto Corsa Competizione (out on PS4 next month) etc... Depends how long we'll be waiting.
True -- this gen was an evolution, not a revolution. Interested to see what kind of leap next gen brings... Conventional logic would suggest the jump will get incrementally smaller, but I guess we'll see.
Oof, madonne! I am seriously saving a little bit extra from this month just in case. Then again, prob won't be buying a launch edition unless GT7 comes as launch title
The PS3's launch price was the most damage Sony ever did with a console, luckily they recovered massively but that launch was a problem.
God I just hope the PS5 has compatibility with PS4 racing wheels
As someone who buys like one game every six months I'm never disappointed! 😅
Nice idea, but I have to say that tOW, although an excellent proof of concept, needs to really upscale/increase its budget to realise it's potential as a series... the base game was so underdeveloped/spread so thin that I think DLCs would feel like a chore.
The RPG aspects (skill trees, perks, quest paths), writing and dialogue options were quite pedestrian and lacklustre when compared to the likes of something like Fallout: New Vegas.
I would still ...
