Heck, maybe it did get all those perfect scores just because it's a Mario game. After all, for people to make these little excuses, the Mario series HAS to have done something big to receive such repercussion, and I'd say it was the quality of the games. Therefor, being a Mario game makes it great.
The only difference is that in one you do coke, and the other one you don't.
Why are people saying Ratchet and Clank looks better than Galaxy 2? Come on, I know we're talking HD Platform vs Wii here, but this is a grand exception. Super Mario Galaxy 2 has one of the best technical and artistic design this generation, in my opinion.

The controller's great. It's comfortable, perfect button positioning, perfect size, internal rechargeable batteries, motion sensors. I just think it's a little bland. Maybe a little more shine, color, or button redesign won't hurt. Eh, who knows, I like it anyway.
...that inFamous should have been on the list. It was the first time ever that I actually couldn't predict the (awesome) plot twist at the end. And inFamous 2 seems promising.

My biggest problem is with the jags. But the difference, at least to me, is noticeable. Especially with the PS3 menu screen.
