well i don't think box art really proves much.
Its a very well refined singleplayer shooter experience but hardly cinematic without any amazing setpieces like you see in games today but back then it was pretty dam awesome and still is above many nowdays shooters in terms of experience.
Bioshock 1 pretty much set the standard for shooters this gen for cinematic adventure action shooter game the length might be thin compared to the Half-Life games but equality enjoyable as an experience.

In the PS1 days that worked for me but anime style games have been a huge turnoff for me since this gen started, expect the naruto storm games that is but those arent rpg´s really.
Rail shooter is arcade nothing wrong with that there´s not many good ones nowadays.

I bought Far Cry 3 because its alot of fun! it might not have anything very spectacular but its offers alot of great shooter gameplay goodness with plenty of variety.
Some people have too many expectations for videogames.

Thing to Notice. Bioshock takes place underwater. Bioshock Infinite takes place in air. Bioshock begins with flying in air and then plane crash. Bioshock Infinite begins with sailing in water and then goes to air!
