I think they'll do a hybrid system to keep costs down. Big enough SSD for a game or two but a large HDD for mass storage.
I think I really believes MTs now means the predatory stuff and not the tiny cosmetic things. MT in his head has been twisted to mean all MT are evil. Granted, there are people out there who think the same way, but it isn't really accurate.
Based on the quick glimpse they showed at the gameplay reveal, I think I saw Head, Body, and color as separate options, so sounds like a bit of an improvement over BL2.
@Palitera
It's going to be the same as it was in BL2. If you took a few seconds to pay attention to the words he said, you'd realize this.
"we're gonna do some kickass campaign DLC, and I'm sure we're going to do all kinds of fun customizations like heads and skins. But we're not doing any of that free-to-play junk. There's not going to be any microtransactions, there's not going to be any of that nonsense."
...
eh? The customization is still there.
I only watched it twice last night, but it does seem a little different somehow. Better though. Might just be the different UI and item cards.
The problem I remember with it was that the story didn't hook me at all until the end of disc 1, which is far too long. Also, the magic system felt broken. I can't remember what it was called, but when you link the spells to boost your stats, I did the obvious thing and the game was pretty easy for me.
@GottaBjimmyb
"Sure why wouldn't it be? It gives the most hardcore things to keep working toward, and not everyone needs to unlock every thing"
3-4k hours is excessive. Consider that 2400 hours is 100 days of playing non-stop. That's years-long of playing an MMORPG level of playing heavily.
5 isn't average. 5 is the middle ground between 1 and 10. If you want an actual average, do the math on the scores and the average is way higher.
Yep, you sign up for a service, you agree to their terms. If you decide to not only flaunt those rules, but completely not give a shit about them and shatter them at will, then the outcome to such behavior should be expected and there should be no shock or sympathy.
People talk about their own rights, but seems a lot of these people forget that it goes both ways. Sony has the same rights. So if they chose to not provide a service to a rule breaking, unapologetic racist...
Ok thanks. Haven't gotten to the final season yet.
What the hell is a Disco Broccoli and what does it have to do with the games?
Even the lawyer making the claims put the underage part in quotes, which seems to be some sort of attempt to protect himself from making a false claim. Not really sure if that will hold up or not if Randy decides to go for a libel case against him.
I doubt even a next generation drive would be £100 to offer that as savings to the consumer, unless they decided to offer a deal in order to lure more people to a driveless system.
It doesn't increase the cost by using less components. It will cost money to redesign, at which point they can include other cost saving measures. Those cost savings more than offset the added cost of the redesign.
That's just embarrassing.
You don't have to abandon games because you bought a new console. The games still work on the old system just fine.
What? You didn't know that a random boob or a bare butt cheek will "inhibit the sound growth and development" of young people?
It's pretty early still, but I_am_Batman above had a quick thought.
Strange. Mine is the opposite in that new games will update, but old ones will not, even if the system is on. The old games seem to only update if I try to launch them. Even the new games, I still sometimes get surprised by them when I turn the system on. Seems like it might be the once a day check thing the article mentioned.
