Yea my same thought. As hard as it will be to not play it at launch, I think I'll wait for the remastered version for PS5.
Fingers crossed they offer a cross generation upgrade discount like they did with select games from PS3 to PS4. If that's the case I may play it at launch and revisit it again in the fall/winter.

Not the best year for Xbox but as a gamer I enjoyed my Xbox even traded up for the Xbox One X and I did do the game pass for 6months which allowed me to play games I normally wouldnt have played.

I love my switch and the portability of playing games on the go. I don't want my switch to be a port machine and getting sub par ports at that. I want my Nintendo Switch to inspire devs to make original third party content taking advantage of the switch hardware and portability. Was all for this article but then it asked me to click through 10 slides or sign up for a subscription. What!?Immediately closed out of it. I get it that it's all about generating revenue, but I'm sure these sort of practices deter more people from the site. I can confirm I frickin loved D1 even through the rough patches. And honestly I loved D2 when it launched the first 4-5 weeks I thought the weekly milestones respected players times because I put 100s maybe even a thousand hours into D1 with all 3 classes grinding for loot or doing time exclusive things (black spindle, sword mission for all 3 character's, weekly raids, iron banner, or trials etc) and use to HATE the grind or waiting to get the notification the weekly night fall for certai...
Seems like an easy platinum. No trophy of doing a raid and no one dies. That was extremely tedious especially trying to do it on the oryx jumping part

Honestly don't care about getting too much loot especially since everything will be wiped when the game is officially released.
Especially with a player like myself I played all 3 classes I really just wanted to see how they all handle and new specials. If you play all 3 first missions each character gets a different exotic either in primary or secondary slot. So that's all I needed to get me to buy the game to see a sample of 3 new guns.

My PS4 experience online is terrible lately my matches always disconnect. I get kicked out of the practice a lobby while it searches for a match or If am able to play, it kicks me right when it gets to the 5th round. Or if I click online it says it can't connect server even though I'm still online and in my party. It just can't connect to Tekken.
As a person who really didnt see the difference between my ps4 and xbox one on multiplatform games. This doesnt mean anything to me. What sold me to upgrade my PS4 to the Pro was because of games like Horizon
I went out at bought a PS4 and X1 on launch then upgraded to the Pro based on me getting a 4k TV. I'll most likely purchase a X1-X.
However my only thing with these mid cycle upgrades is will it be worth it timeline wise. Like now that we have these mid generation upgrades, when can we expect PS5 or Xbox (whatever).
My ultimate concern is how long is this generation going to last? Did these upgrades extend it or shorten consoles this generation. Or...

Gotta agree going off your statements of consumer data it's kinda scary that this only an example of the power with companies gathering data. When they sent that email that basically summarized my 2019 game playing of everything I did. It was very interesting to say the least. However I'm ok with the PS4 gathering this harmless data, but it makes you think what these companies that are privy to more sensitive information are tracking and how that data can be used.
