Most RPG's I ever grew up playing which was all the Final Fantasy games and Legend Of Dragoon, Dragon Warrior/Quests games and pretty much any other SNES/PS1/PS2 RPG's have had pretty deep story's.
I also share your sentiment on good gameplay mechanics. I feel both (IMO) are welcome and needed to make a deep rich fulfilling RPG.
I also like the look of the game. Kind of reminds me of Okami.
I'm downloading this first thing when my wife gets home with my PS4 tomorrow. Can't wait!
The Skill upgrade reminds me of Final Fantasy's X Grid Sphere level up system. That was my favorite way to level using the sphere grid. I know I will enjoy the leveling system in Child Of Light.
Wonder what bosses look like. Like to also see more on the story as well. Everyone who is a fan of RPG's knows you need a deep story.
I just found out that the guy who worked on Crash Bandicoot 1, 2, 3 and tag team racing and the Jak and Daxter games is working on this game. That's why the environment look's so close to those games.
With him on bored I'm VERY confident this game is going to turn out very well. Can't wait to see more.

The game looks AMAZING. Plus I see this being a more slower paced game. I don't see The Order having a ton of explosions going off like some war games have.
I say play the game and not the graphics.
I don't mind the look so much as everyone else. I'm down for them trying to reinvent the characters.
I wish they would do a game series based off the Sonic comic books that had Sally and all the other characters. Used to LOVE reading the sonic comics back in the day.
I can see a price tag of $49.99. I went to Gamestop to see a price or if your able to pre order it but its not in there system yet. I'm sure it will be by the end of the weekend considering its coming out in like two months.
I find them to be fine. Miiverse is kind of a way to allow fans a first glimpse before everyone else can report on it. If your a fan of the game I'm sure you already have a Wii U in anticipation for this tittle. Just my opinion on the subject but I could be wrong. Some people might want MORE information then Sakurai is letting out.

I'm planning to pick this up for the Wii U to flesh out my library more. Nice to be able to add an RPG to the Wii U. I hope it turns out pretty good. Maybe Ubisoft can make this into a new franchise. Looks promising.
Yea I know right! The money all comes from the same place. If Sony is taking a MAJOR hit it will in some way start to affect the Playstation brand.
This site has a HUGE double standard. If you can sling S*** at Nintendo same standards should be in place for Sony.
I played Call Of Duty Ghosts on my PS3 and will have to say this one sucks. The Wii U missing out on the DLC (IMO) is not a big deal. I still play and enjoy Black Ops 2 on my Wii U with my family and friends. Granted the lack of new maps sucks but at least its a solid game.
Wait! Is Amazon now buying up company's to make games? I wonder if this is to get developers on the rumored Amazon console that's been being talked about.

I know secrets in this game that not even the guide books know about lol. I wish Capcom would do a remake of Resident Evil 2 and 3 much like Resident Evil 1 on the Gamecube got. I would buy those in a HEART BEAT!

I'm buying a 3DS XL for this and like 20 other games. I miss this style of combat. This game looks amazing and I don't care what any haters say. I wish more JRPG would go back to this form of mechanic's.
One of my favorite games last year that I wish got more attention was Ni No Kuni. That was another AMAZING game. I want JRPG's to make a HUGE come back this Gen.
I have a feeling at E3 Nintendo is going to show Super Mario Galaxy 3, a new Metroid from Retro, Zelda Wii U and either a new Star Fox game or a new F-Zero game. Plus we will get A LOT more footage of X and Hyrule Warriors and a more updated playable roster of Super Smash Bro's U.
With Mario Kart U coming in May. DK: TF about to release this month. Bayonetta 2 later some time this year along with X and Super Smash Bro's U. Plus Nintendo has not shown Yoshi Yarn/World...
Adam Sessler is the LAST person I would be taking Nintendo advice from. There is a FLOOD of negative things Adam has said about Nintendo. His opinion is NEVER in Nintendo's best interest.
Mobil is not the answer for Nintendo. Of course Adam would want Nintendo to move to Mobil. Nintendo needs to just correct the third party support, Advertise the HELL out of the console and work on there online infrastructure. Once at least ONE of these things are fixed things can finall...
I don't see how considering I own every Nintendo console and buy there software every time they release something. Like this month I'm picking up Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze.
I'm also raising two children who LOVE Mario and Sonic. Throwing my son his third birthday and its all Mario themed. There not dying its just time for us to pass it on. Any true Nintendo fan has the love and magic in there heart from when they were children.
