lol @ Semimorphus. I bet you're one of the two people that disagreed with him XD.
They're as accurate as you're gonna get.
I shouldn't be here! I'm still waiting for NPD damnit!
Hahaha, you gambled your 360 away. WTF?!
I agree, it doesn't make since to only drop the price of the Core system. That would NOT happen.
If anything Microsoft is hurting consumers, not themselves, since they don't include a memory unit with the core. Microsoft makes a greater profit selling core systems as opposed to Sony selling 20gb systems.
R* has already tackled the problems associated with the HDless core system, so GTA:IV is a non-issue. Just read the GTA:IV cover story in OPM:UK.
The affect the core has had on gaming is irreversible at this point, so it doesn't matter how many more Microsof...
I hope Microsoft doesn't listen to your advice. I don't understand why people always say, "Microsoft doesn't need to drop the price of the 360 because it's outselling the PS3."
You know, Microsoft isn't only in the console business to outsell Sony's PS3. It's much bigger than that.
You bought a Wii? Now you're just another statistic. :shakes head:
LeonSKennedy4Life, that was an amazing post. no sarcasm. But man, that was harsh.
Why is it that Final Fantasy and all these other games are suppose to make people buy PS3s, yet everyone who wants to play games like Halo 3, Bioshock, and Mass Effect already owns a 360? Let's not forget the 360 will also get more JRPGs as well.
Super Mario Galaxy, Brawl, and a Wii for me this Christmas!!!! I loved Melee for the Gamecube.
"The 360 was a world wide launch, which was a mistake, because it caused the supply constrained."
I think the 360 would have still been supply constrained if it had only launched in the US, or maybe they would have had enough supply to barely meet demand. Microsoft had some pretty serious manufacturing problems at the time (still do if you think about their reliability, lol). I think it was caused by one of the 360's memory components.
In the world of console gaming, selling out is usually a good thing as it means you have a healthy amount of demand for your product. Unless you're hardly producing any consoles at all as Microsoft was after the 360's launch.
But then you have the PS3, which launched in Europe with the most consoles in Europe's history. A console that has never once been supply constrained in any region. A console that has never had any real demand. It just seems disingenuous to compare other c...
Since when did Australia ever matter for anything?
lol, j/k :p... or am i?!?!?!
Don't Americans have the same problem with their 360 as Europeans. I think it's more than the red rings of death and backwards comp.
If Europeans publishers want to bet on the PS3 then that'll be their loss when they come to the realization that the PS3 is doing just as badly in Europe as it's doing in the US and Japan. Hopefully things work out for them in the end.
The only thing that makes the PS3 look like it's doing well in Europe is the fact that it sold 1 million in like 2 months. But when you take into account that Sony launched with around 1.5 million units (correct me if I'm wrong), they didn't sell...
I thought Sony's official Playstation blog was Three Speech.
Do you mean it sounds unbelievable? To say it looks unbelievable implies that you have seen it. I don't think anyone here has seen Killzone 2.
How fast do you type kevin? o_0
If what you say is true kevoncox, that's freakin' awesome.
