Well said, but effectively, there are people who want to watch it in HD. DVD's look like crap on my tv. I'd be getting the Halo movie on blu-ray. Doesn't bother me in the least bit though.
Of course they are disappointed. No one likes to lose money and having their user base just cut off like that is disappointing.
If they pull Manhunt 2, they should pullevery horror movie and survival horror game from the market. Personally, I do think having Wii controls in a game like Manhunt to be a bit much, but it's meant for an adult audience and it's to everyone's personal discretion if they wish to buy the game. Like someone mentioned, free market.
I never lag on any system. I will admit,I don't plan on paying 50 US a year to maintain a Live account. I have a nice job, but I'm still a full-time student and only game to wind down after 3-4 hour lectures. My only problem with the PSN is lack of content and in game messaging. Both are being worked on, so that makes me happy :).
Playstation 3 is the system that's all about potential, and one day that potential will be reached. I look forward to this day :)
Thing is, I bought the 360 and the PS3 to play games. Even if Blu-ray as a format for holding high definition picture fails, I do appreciate it's ability to hold more data then a DVD. I prefer the PS3 with the blu-ray drive because it's a distinguishing feature. If it had a DVD, they should just say PS3 = 360 - Live.
But still, rental sales and studio support don't effect gamers directly. This is something for fans of cinema and high definition cinema.

I'll admit: I'm very very very impressed. I like this kind of stuff, physics and computer simulations. Very cool stuff.

The point isn't to outshow anyone, I bet they will, but really, just show the people who bought their console that they have something coming out in the very near future that can get them excited.
Hell; God of War 3 announcement or FF7 remake would sit very fine with me.
The ONLY reason I bought a PS3 wasn't for MGS4, or FF13, or GTA. It was for Sony's incredible first party offerings (in my opinion, don't give me negative feedback if you don't agree), absolutely blow Microsoft's first party out of the water. I just use 360 for the multiplatform titles + Gears.
They BETTER impress, or we're going to see alot of people start selling their PS3's.
I'm a thread away from giving up on that damn console. GTA content exclusivity on the 360 along with the lackluster PSN updates, Lackluster xmb functionality, lackluster game releases, lackluster everything, these games better blow me the F away or I tell Sony they screwed up big time. I don't ever want Microsoft to win the console war, but goddam Sony doesn't have to make it this easy for them either.
I don't care much, but it sort of goes against Rockstar's statement that: They don't want to show console preference. I'm alot more pertrubed that they go against their own words and company policy.
