4/4/14 would be a great announcement date at best, and with a fall release it could be great.
So far I only saw some combat, if there wont be a story with choices/consequences please dont call it a RPG game. Any game with character development, item custumization and maybe a generic story is a RPG these days...
It means additional programming for PC, which is too expensive obviously.
Wasteland 2 should be on that list.

Main scenario is too short: Edward's story starts at the middle and keeps fastforwarding to the end.

Game doesnt tell what Nassau is all about? How did Edward have all the Assassin abilities from start? (he didnt even become a full assassin at the end :P). Why would Edward care about (lost)friends? when game doesnt give you the chance to care about them. You only get to spend some time with "Kidd" that's all etc.
And I want a very powerful game engine that could support 500 active mods :D
There were only 3 good LotR game; Battle for Middle Earth 1-2 was good and the Return of the King game was somewhat good then nothing. For LotR to shine again in gaming, they should do a game like Skyrim/Withcer 2 or maybe one like dragon age 1.
Yeah, it's "EAware" now and it wont be a groundbreaking game which will enhance the RPG genre(unlike a CDProject's project) but it will still be big and it will have certain quality. I mean I'm still excited for new bioware games. There arent many good rpg devs and bioware is still decent.
