I purchased the first game near the end of last year in one of the sales. The art style painted an incredibly gorgeous looking game and a thoroughly engaging one too. So I'm delighted to see that a sequel is being made and most importantly will be out later this year. I had hoped that Kena wasn't going to be a one and done. This State of Play has shown us more than a few welcome surprises.

Still hoping for a new MotorStorm or at least a MotorStorm Remaster Compilation.

Surely this is one game (other than Halo) that would benefit from having VR2 compatibility.

Astro's Playroom was the most fun I've had with a pack-in game since 1992.

Rest assured, GTA 6 will come out on the PS5, Then we can all look forward to buying the "upgrade" on PS6, followed by the "Remaster" for the PS6 mid-gen refresh before finally buying the "Definitive edition" on PS7.

Mark Cerny said in his presentation that roughly 75% of PS5 owners choose performance over fidelity in games. This should be a clear message to Sony and game devs that a large percentage of gamers value fluidity and smoothness over visuals. Most of us are perfectly happy to play games at slightly reduced visuals if we can enjoy the same gameplay experience of an Ultra High-End PC. Console gamers have mostly moved on from demanding top tier PC equivalent visuals, what we really want is top ...

£699 for console, £99.99 for Disc addon (if you want physical media) and minimum of £49.99 (yearly) for Online subscription. Yes I know you could go with the monthly option, but most people will know that yearly or quarterly is ultimately more cost effective. So in this scenario you're looking at between £820 to £850 and that's before you think about purchasing a second controller or games. Its a sobering thought. I don't own a PS5, I also prefer to bu...

I was slightly distracted from the presentation by the realisation that Mark appears to be morphing into Garth Algar

I remember that you could watch the Film To Kill A Mockingbird in it's entirety, near the beginning of the game. I wonder if the update will be able to include that too.

In 1992 Street Fighter 2 on the SNES in the UK retailed for £65 brand new. That's about £135 today.

It is very sad they stopped these games. They could have evolved to be the quintessential open-world arcade racer and become to Playstation, what the Forza Horizon games are to Xbox. A crying shame they didn't get to flourish and absolutely criminal that they have never been rereleased.

Couldn't agree more, I haven't had one for at least 12 years now. I do have a USB one, just in case, but the days of a CD/DVD/Blu-Ray drive as part of my PC build are long long gone.
I think Consoles fill that role of physical media quite well though. It's more of a necessity. PC 's have the advantage of being able to use multiple storage media, Consoles don't have the same kind of luxury in that regard. There is still something to be said though for purchas...

The only real reason that the Pro and One X were needed, was because the base machines were simply not good enough. The Pro and X were the consoles we should have got at the start of the last generation.

It's good to see more and more developers giving us choices when it comes to graphics versus performance. It is nice that they acknowledge that a growing crowd prefer higher, smoother and more consistent framerates over visual quality.

When we buy consoles, we know we aren't going to get top of the line PC visuals or performance, but we accept that because we just want a cheap and easy way to game. Back then developers pushed graphical quality over performance bec...

Let's face it, by now many of these options should have been standard features in all games.

Things have been slowly progressing, we've seen control options for left handed players and some games have introduced toggles for colour blindness.

MS introduced their controller solution for a range of disabled gamers. There are millions of gamers in the world, but how many more have been put off from playing because of a lack of simple options to cater...
