I know they had Dave the Diver last year or the year before, which was actually published by a big South Korean publisher, but does anybody big own:
Kepler Interactive, Devolver Digital, Raw Fury, Dotemu, Supergiant, and Team Cherry? As far as I'm aware none of them are. Now, Netease does own a sizeable chunk of Kepler, but so do ten other studios, including Sandfall who technically published Expedition 33. If Kepler was completely a subsidiary of Netease it would be a ...
Playing on a base PS5 here in performance mode. Not sure how it runs on PC or XBox, but its performance isn't that bad on PS5. There has been some slow-down during cutscenes, but gameplay has overall been fine. I was nervous because I heard how "bad" it ran on the PS5 Pro, so I don't know. I feel like it was greatly exaggerated, unless for some reason it runs worse on the Pro. I saw one guy play a review copy online and even he said it ran well for him, didn't have many ...
So I perused the article and it's just a bunch of whining. Writing off Lies of P when it's probably the most digestible narratives in a Soulslike (and to me, a bit more interesting because of that) and actually not even really that difficult (until the end for me). Then saying someone over 30 can't parry in Expedition 33. At least they admitted it was a bit of a skill issue, but I'm well over 30 and could parry fine. Except Simon. Screw Simon haha
Good. The Great Circle was a bit rough around the edges at times, and I honestly think there's ZERO chemistry with the female lead, but overall it was really fun. I'd like to platinum it on the PS5, but there are far too many collectibles in the game and that's literally the only trophies I have left.
Are you the same type of guy that complains when Naughty Dog or Insomniac make their female characters unattractive, but then make fun of the guys who enjoy a video game featuring hot women? It seems like there's a lot of that type of fellow around the interwebs. Not saying you're one, but I would guess that there would be a pretty big overlap in a Venn diagram with those type of guys. They need to pick a lane and stay in it.
Shadows has been selling well and people are enjoying it. The only people complaining is a small pocket of very vocal non-Japanese men. For the amount of bitching we all hear about virtue signaling, it's funny how much virtue signaling is being done over a fictional video game by those same people that hate virtue signaling.
But the people running Ubisoft definitely suck, and this lawsuit proves it.
Oh, look. Even a website about video games can't tell the difference between a remake and a remaster. They said they are remaking Max Payne 1 and 2, which will be far more than just "a new coat of paint." Think FF7 Remake or any of the more recent Resident Evil remakes. If you want an example that hews closer to the original game, think Shadow of the Colossus or Demons Souls, which Bluepoint made with the intent that they still play and feel closely to the originals, but complet...
I know that Rebirth had a lot more going on graphically than Remake, but I do think it's kind of sad that in many ways Remake still looks better on PS5 than Rebirth does. I definitely think that even the base PS5 version could be improved.
The DLC still hasn't come out, so there's no way we're getting Lies of P 2 in 2026 when the DLC (which is probably an expansion) will probably come out at the 1.5-2 year mark of the original game. If it takes two years for the DLC to come out, it'll take longer than three for a full fledged game, even if they're working on both. Probably 2027.
They haven't. Someone posted a image from years ago of Marcus Fenix with the same body type. Where was the outrage then? Oh wait, there wasn't any because people just see what they want to see sometimes.
And look, I get it. I think the whole mastectomy scars in Dragon Age is ridiculous, too. If you're gonna be inclusive to one group, you'll need to be inclusive to all of them (gay, straight, bi, amputees, whatever), otherwise it just looks like pandering. Th...
Not even close. Who are you, Melonie Mac? Get an original thought.
I don't want Ubisoft to fail, I want their current business model to fail. And I'm not even hating on their games. People were bitching how AC Odyssey was pay to win and that wasn't true at all. But Ubisoft has released a ton of great games in the past. I don't even hate the new ones (well, the new AC games, at least) even if I'm going to always complain about their bloat. But people are getting tired of the Ubisoft formula, and Star Wars proves that. Now, I'm not sure...
V is great, but it does have a notoriously slow start. You know the cliched "You have to play this game __ hours before it gets good"? I swear Suikoden V invented that term, haha. It really does take about a dozen hours before it gets going. Even I have a hard time remembering that because I've tried to replay it several times in the last several years and the opening hours really hang me up. I do really like III and V, and IV is decent enough. I would like to see all them get r...
I think the point is that they're being inclusive for a very, very small minority of people yet still won't include other visual options. Like, women with big boobs exists. So do hunchbacks. People with facial deformities. Double-jointed people. People without a left hand. Albinos. So if they're going to be inclusive, they should really go all out, because then it just seems like they're trying to make a statement. And maybe they are, given who the game director is. They neede...
Playstation remembers it exists? How about some of the other games in there that are far more "forgotten"? There's a game character in there that's almost 30 years old from a series that a certain publisher has abandoned for almost 20 years (until next year).
There's nothing Sweet Baby about this. The art style is okay. Some of it looks good, some of it doesn't. There's nothing egregiously "woke" about any of it except for what some people like to imagine in their minds. The tone of that first trailer was bad, but it just goes to show what presentation does because you can make anything look like anything. Once people complained, we got a darker trailer. So honestly, who knows what the tone of the game will really be? But Bio...
The environments look great and... that's about it. The player character doesn't look like he's actually in any of them, and was just copied and pasted. And the woman's mouth movements? Oh boy. For those old enough to remember the Heavy Rain tech demo way back when, that was the first time the "uncanny valley" was discussed in regards to video games, but that has nothing on this lady. It probably doesn't help that her injected lips belong on a rejected Instagram ...
It's a remaster, not a remake.
According to wikipedia, Horizon Zero Dawn has sold over 24 million copies. As of May of last year, Forbidden West has sold over 8 million. But yeah, nobody seems to know what Horizon is. Yep.
No, you're right. They aren't athletes. There's nothing really athletic about what they're doing, but at this point I don't think there's a better term for what they are. They would have had to figure out a better term 15 years ago.
