This is misleading. The idea behind Sony techs is not only about the engine coded behind the sound, but the hardware! Is a system. The 32 channels limitations is about the hardware you have to work with the tech in Dolby Atmos, which is an amazing tech, but you have to have a good machine to make all the hundreds, and as said if you add all the sounds in the world without the 3d fading and occlusions you will have just noise.
