We wont know the cpu is not that important on the 360 compared to the cell carrying the RSX. So the impact isn't that much just look at Forza/kinect demo it did look better then forza 3 and it was pushing more polygons too in the landscapes on that japanese mountain track.
You dont see shooter devs change genre much you have some all purpose devs out their like insomniac and bungie(past work before halo) to name two populair devs.
It would be interesting to see a dev like bioware to make a pure FPS i would reckon it would be like deus ex without the rpg elements.

A upcoming arcade game hydrophobia has good fluid physics too i heard but real fluid physics takes hours if not days to simulate on a cpu farm so dont expect that anytime soon.
Saw video came to conclusion that crysis 2 lighting is better just look at alien projectiles casting lights and shadows around them and on the characters weapon. But
for the rest it's kinda hard to judge both killzone 3 and crysis 2 looks awesome both will probably day 1.

I would say this is doable realtime on pc over 2 gpu card gens you know the ati 88XX series or nvidea 6XX or something. For console we probably have to wait till next gen or the gen their after for it to be mandatory.
