I break it down like this:
-The free games that you get to keep until you cancel your subscription are like paying for Gamefly. For the two game Gamefly plan it costs $26/mo. Add that up for a year and your paying $312/year to rent games that you don't get to keep.
-The discounted stuff is like paying for a Sam's Club card. You pay a yearly fee to be able to take advantage of their special pricing. A Sam's Club card is $50/year. See where...
How is that the dumbest thing you have ever heard?? It makes perfect sense if you actually use your brain.
After you download enough stuff to cover the initial $50 fee you are left with enough "FREE" content the rest of the year to pay for the service a few more times.
That sounds like paying $50 for over $50 worth of free stuff to me.
My wife is addicted to MAG. She has over 100 hours into it right now.
As far as "best" game of this generation I would have to say Heavy Rain so far.
As far as my "favorite" game this generation it would have to be Fallout 3 so far.
"Most overated" game of this generation would have to be Grand Theft Auto IV or Call of Duty 4 so far.

My wife has a PS3 slim and it just looks dull and cheap compared to my Piano Black PS3. I feel the same way about my Xbox 360 Elite. The black is just so dull next to my PS3. I wish they had released the Xbox 360 Slim before I bought mine so I could have it match my PS3. Same goes for my Wii. I wish I had the black one. LOL
I actually prefer the 80GB fat PS3 with the gun metal grey in place of the chrome. Thats the model I bought after my launch 60GB died from YLOD awhile back.
Why not?? It works for just about anything that sells well. Just look at video games. A game that sells Halo/COD/GTA numbers is not automatilcally more important or of better quality than a game that sells one copy but according to everyone on this site and many more you wouldn't know that. Some of the best games I have ever played have had poor sales in comparison to others and are seen as failures that don't matter. The same can be said for any entertainment medium.

Taking a look at this article I would say things are pretty even around here. Just because people don't agree with "your" opinion doesn't automatically make them a fanboy of the opposite opinion or console. Just try to remember that next time you are crying about the number of fanboys around here.
It will sell an insane number of copies but I don't think it will surpass Halo 3 sales figures. I do think it will sell enough copies to get the GOTY award based on sales alone. Although as a gamer I hope that is not the case. I would much rather see a game like Heavy Rain get GOTY just on a pure innovation standpoint. It would encourage more devs to take chances on unproven formulas.
You forgot to add a couple games there. If you are going to jump on other people about getting facts right then you should make sure yours are right.

I already own it and it is one of my favorite games on the Xbox 360 right behind Splinter Cell: Conviction. I wouldn't mind seeing on the PS3 as well. At least maybe Remedy would get some more sales that way.
