I love the idea of a reboot, but this article left me worrying that it may only be a reuse of the X-COM name :( Here's hoping they get it right.
I've never actully had a console die on me, and I've always been an early buyer.
I did have a DOA with my 1st PS2, but got a replacement within in a day which I never had any issues with, even after moving back to Aus then NZ from the US.
I sit about 2-3 feet from my TV when playing games, but then I'll probably not be able to use this tech as I'm legally blind in one eye.
While ME is a great game, you don't need the top of the line PC to run either 1 or 2, so again no real reason to bring it to the PS3, would be nice for the trophies but no real issue. I think Fable 2 is one of the few genuine 360 exclusives I'm interested in.
Nah, that was also due to the developer being british.
The problem with this it's only one person's "opinion" bull, is that a lot of people read these sites to decide on purchasing a game. So if' it's just an "opinion" they need to state this very clerarly on every single review.
As to edge I think they should go for a name change maybe BLUNT?
Any one who has seen the 2 versions side by side on a 37" or high screen HDTV knows which version is better visually.
As long as they develop on the PS3 and only compress chop if they need to, to allow it to fit the 360 version, I really couldn't give a rats A.
Personally, I've given up even going to the big review sites, as I lost complete faith in there abilities to review any game.
Now I just check out the smaller blog type sites that don't even post a score, just an opinion. Maybe if we all stopped going to or buying there mags they'd just dissapear :)
One of the local stores has both version running pretty much side by side, and the diffence is far more obvious in the cut scenes than actual game play.
And for me at least part of the joy of FF's is how pretty they are.
But boy do I dislike some of those accents :P
I think Halflife was the last Valve game I got and Steam just annoyed me to the point I gave up on DoWII.
And yup I got a PC that can play pretty much anything that is currently around.
Yup, I was recently back in the US (nov2009) and got to say the Gamestops where pretty bad, I ended up resorting to buy a couple of games from Best Buy.
Luckily back here in NZ there are still a few independents (even one or two ebgames) where they love to just chat about the latest games as well as good old favs from the past.
I had quick glance at metacritic and notice that the 360 version is rating higher than the PS3 version, oh the joke.
But what is even more funny is that the 3 sites that have reviewed for both systems have basically given the same review for both. :P
So glad I never bothered to buy this current MW.
Nope, I sync my date vi internet, as well as trophies and after that everything, but my heavy rain trophies went back to normal.
Purchased and downloaded latest DLC for Borderlands no issues.

What will be interesting is when the next gen comes how good will all the sony developers be as having worked with the more space this gen?
Maybe they've built a new engine with 3 flavours that takes best advantage of the system it's being used on, a bit of the old precomile coding, you know the sort of thing that only leaves the right code for the system it's on.

Picked up the WipeoutHD one ages ago, as it free in NZ as well, will have see if any others are as well.
But this does seem a little old, must be slow month.
Same, got and love ME2, just glad it came out on PC.
And it looks really pretty at 1080 on the PC.
But it's definitly not an RPG in the true sense, but I don't care ;)
Yup in the same boat will wait till the rush dies down before downloading though.
